"It appears that the focus is on the dining...which we appreciate and did not partake. Food is by reservation only. We stayed in room 6. The bed was very uncomfortable for the both of us...we could feel the lumps and bumps of the mattress. It needs a new mattress. We woke up sore each night. Really the window can't be opened due to the road noise but when closed you don't hear it. There is an A/C that helped. The inn is historic and has the glitchiness that old homes have...no biggie. However, for lack of a better word we found ourselves a bit claustrophobic...perhaps it was a smaller than anticipated room with slanted ceiling. The review isn't personal, to the inn owners, just an opinion based on experience."

"Secondly, my market-priced steak, my wife's jerk chicken, and my son's chicken nuggets were disappointing. We felt the dishes were overpriced, and the food was lacking in seasoning. Genuine Spanish cuisine is usually known for its vibrant flavors, but we were left wondering if our meals were seasoned at all. While my son did enjoy his $10+ chicken nuggets, receiving bland food at such prices felt unacceptable. We understand that the location may drive up prices, but we believe that flavor should not be sacrificed, especially when accommodating a diverse community that may not be accustomed to bold seasonings. Lastly, the customer service was adequate—polite but occasionally inattentive, never crossing the line into rudeness. Overall, it's not a terrible place. However, if you are looking for truly authentic Spanish cuisine or more reasonably priced options with better quality control, I would suggest checking out other places."

"The beers and service were excellent. The bartender in the register was really nice and let us sample many samples before we got a glass. The beers were not too strong or bitter, even the dark. The worthy burger was decent. Not as good as other restaurants I tried, but not bad. The frits were good; a bit on the salty side. My S/O got a ham and cheese sandwich with cranberry flavor cheese (forgot the name of the sandwich). It was also good, but very savory and heavy. felt very full after eating. Overall a decent place. Maybe you should see if you're close."

"We stayed at the hotel so ended with breakfast lunch and dinner here during our stay. The food is exceptionally fresh. Breakfast they could find a way to make yoghurt exciting! It called the sampler. Yogurt dipped with a healthy amount of fruit with honey with two pieces of banana bread on the side. Sooo yummy. Also the waffle had very good. Lunch has grilled cheese (without meat) and tomato soup. Oh, my God. Breathe the whole thing. So good dinner I had the halibut. It was delicious, very fresh cooked to perfection over a really delicious sauce. Just on the bottom you could say that atmosphere for dinner. You do a kind of fee as you are in a hotel for a real restaurant, but the food makes it. The atmosphere for lunch and breakfast is just perfect. Nice to meet you. And the staff is very sweet very attentive working very hard. I would recommend this place for every meal"

"During our mini-vacation in Vermont last summer, we visited this spot, highly recommended by relatives. A reservation is required, and they are SUPER popular. So, make sure to book a reservation 2-3 weeks in advance. Since we made our reservation late (which was still 2 weeks in advance! , and we were lucky enough to get their last reservation available, at the bar counter. The bar was really beautiful, made with an antique wooden bar. We started off with “Made in Vermont” cocktail section of the drink menu, and ordered Not-So- French Martini, and Maple-tini. Our bartender/server for the evening, Tracey, made our drinks and gave us the excess in small shakers. It had enough for a second glass! Thank you! The drinks were strong and flavorful, really nice! We did Prix Fixe Menu. For the first course, we chose House Smoked Salmon and Count Neck Clams, both simply delicious. What an amazing start! Second course was a House Salad, super fresh and tasty. For the third course, we had Oven Roasted Atlantic Cod, and Carré d’Agneau Royale. AMAZING. They were both packed with flavor, fireworks going on in my mouth good. Everything was so great, we couldn't just end there. So, we ordered Vienna Coffee with Irish Whiskey with some dessert. We sure how how to live! We ordered Vermont Cheesecake and Pistachio Milk Chocolate Dacquoise. The cheesecake is to die for. Oh. My. Goodness! Needless to say, we had a wonderful time here. Everything we had was great, from the first drink to the last bite. Tracey took a great care of us the entire night, we feel like we had more fun sitting at the bar instead of at a table. This was the best dining experience we had in Vermont, and we will be sure to return for more the next time we visit Vermont!"
