"This is probably my top meal that I've had in WNC so far. I recommend this place to people who ask me where to eat. Love the farm to table concept and being able to see where the food is coming from on the cute hanging chalkboard. Service was on point, great ambience, food was well done and flavorful. Some of my highlights were the scallops (seared nicely, perfect acidity, cooked perfectly), the brine on the pork chop was superb and really kept the meat tender and juicy (char flavor was clutch too), the Korean bbq pork belly was crazy good as well, loved all the varietals of mushrooms in the pasta! Super impressed with the technically flawless meal from start to finish. Food was all hot as well which I really appreciated! I made time to thank the chefs personally after the meal. Great job guys! Highly recommend and wish it was closer to Asheville so I could eat here more regularly, but worth the drive either way. Great way to spoil my parents while they were in town visiting! ???"

"My family and I came to dinner at 8:30 after graduation at WCU. My daughter had the lamb-coop special that was amazing! She commented that it was the best food she ever had. My son had the scallop speciality... most amazing. My husband asked the cook to get a fish dish for him. The cook was a red snapper. We live near the coast, so we eat a lot of seafood. My husband said it was the best red snapshot he ever had... what much says. I had the shrimps and grits I often order in different restaurants. The lobster sauce combined with the red sauce and shrimp... so good!! And I can't forget the homemade ice cream! I honestly cannot say enough about this meal. We also enjoyed talking to the chef and learning that his ingredients come from local farms. If we were living here, that would be a restaurant that we would often be."

"Another phenomenal experience at Sweet Onion! We missed the opportunity to book a table, but it was suggested to call back to add our name to the waiting list. We have and have been called to exactly the promised time. We ordered the grouper special and the open-standing pot roast sandwich, both different from what we usually get, but still so good. So much love goes into this food!! I never go without getting the blackberry cream brulee, and it never disappoints... save space for it! After living and eating at all the best places in Charleston, this is still my favorite dessert."

"For the first time in this wonderful restaurant and so glad that we chose it during the passage through Waynesville. The entire experience was exceptional from welcoming and sitting, the service of our waitress and the food itself. The food was so good and the portions so big, we wanted to take the remains home. Since we returned home from a 2-week holiday through several states (Charlotte), we asked for a small ice bag in our cooler to keep the food fresh. Our waitress gave the ice cream ready and took care of the food. Finally, the music was really good ( Contemporary Bluegrass) and the waitress told me it was Billy Strings on Pandora. So now I have a big Pandora channel to hear. My wife and I highly recommend this restaurant!!"

"Wow, where do I start. We weren't told that you were out of things until we ordered, ok fine, no big deal. You can see what we ordered with my picture. Our stuffed garlic knots were missing. I also wouldn't have ordered Caesar salads if I knew there would be an upcharg on something that doesn't even have croutons and piled with onions. The chicken was so dry, over cooked, no sauce and they had to use fettuccine noodles instead because they didnt have spaghetti. We were told to wait about 25 minutes, we left and came back to wait over 45 minutes total. Also while we were waiting we witnessed employees handling food with bare hands, especially the little dessert area. Not happy with this experience at all."
