We had a great time at the Social tonight listening to the New London Big Band. The musicians were fantastic and the vocalist was perfect. The service, food, and atmosphere were all excellent.

I used to love this restaurant. It was our first visit since the pandemic started. I have been eager to return, but parking can be difficult in this area. Today, however, everything fell into place - well, almost. I was craving chicken bites, a delicious burger, and a cold beer. The chicken bites were excellent, but the burger was spicy without much flavor, giving me heartburn. The beers were all served at room temperature from the tap. The service was also lacking, with unfriendly bartenders setting a negative tone. My mouth is burning - why??!!!!

I went for a quick lunch before heading back to Long Island on the ferry. I was a bit disappointed with the chicken thigh bites I ordered, as the menu described them as fried with choice of sauce. I was excited to see they were dark meat, as most restaurants use white meat. However, when my food arrived, it turned out to be white meat chicken, which made it dry. The flavor was good, but not what I was expecting. On the bright side, the cocktail was delicious. Overall, it was not a completely disappointing experience, but I don't think I would return.
