"To start off I had put a reservation a week in advance and had arrived at the place early to let them know I have a reservation in an hour. The person there told me it would be ready the moment I would get there. When I arrived back I had to wait an extra 30 min after my reservation. If we were to arrive late they had my card on file and would’ve charged me 15 per person. Why even have reservations if you can’t even do it correctly. I was then sat by the restroom and asked if I could go to another seat keep in mind it was just a party of 2 my girlfriend and I. I do have to say the tea it’s self was delicious but was served in a broken tea cup. When the food came out I was pretty disappointed. I did order the afternoon tea but the food on the tray was sad. The bread used was white bread from Walmart type of quality and I mean great value brand. Someone could of bought better options from Publix and had a way better experience the crab tasted like it was imitation or canned. The pesto bite was the only thing that was passable and even then I’ve had better pesto at a tropical smoothie. And for the price they charge , this was an embarrassment. To top it off the decorations in this place is nice in some places and in the rest it looks like a hoarders mobile home. Won’t be coming back."

"I have been wanting to try Filipe for a while...and it's funny I never knew they were located in the Southland Mall (if coming from inside the store they are across from the Starbucks and White Barn). My family and I just had done some shopping and we decided to finally try this place out as the opportunity presented itself. And considering what an amazing experience this resulted in... shows you this restaurant needs good word of mouth and advertisement because this place has delicious food. We entered the restaurant. Beautiful place. Clean... well decorated... warm and inviting. We were quickly greeted and seated. Our waiter, Renzo, came and greeted us. He gave us time to look at the menu since this was our first time. We received some focaccia bread on the house and it was amazing! Warm... tasty and with olive oil...delectable. Granted,I love bread and olive oil...but this was particularly good bread. We ordered our meal. My brother and I decided to split a large pizza with pepperoni, prosciutto and Italian sausage. My mother ordered the fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp. She loved her meal. While my brother and I voraciously ate ours. Pizza was well cooked...hot...cheesy...and mmmm mmmm delicious. We all split for dessert a chocolate lava cake with some vanilla gelato. Fantastic! Loved the chocolate goodness of the lava cake....the warm gooey ness meeting the cold gelato brought a huge smile to my face. The meal was amazing...no doubt about it. I would, though, like to make special mention of the service provided by Renzo and really the entire staff. The guy hustled to make our meal great. He was patient... answered all our questions... repeatedly came by to see how we were doing. The guy had other tables and responsibilities soon after we ordered but he made us feel like our satisfaction was paramount. That guy is an amazing waiter.... whoever his boss is... you better realize this guy is gold. For anyone in Homestead/Cutler Bay area looking a wonderful Italian restaurant/pizza...swing by and give Filipe a try...you won't regret it."

"Food 4 5 Service 4 Ambiance 4 5 Value 5 I came here on the recommendation of a friend. I love Mexican food and I’m always looking for a good authentic restaurant to visit. The food was good, but not the best I’ve ever had. I appreciate that it is definitely authentic. So I give it 4 5 stars. The service was pretty good. The restaurant is pretty clean, and nicely decorated. It’s an older building kind of a dive. The prices are very reasonable! I ordered the enchiladas verde (chicken). My daughter ordered the chicken fajitas, and my other daughter ordered the shrimp tacos. They each got a bottle of soda, and we split some chips and guacamole. Our bill was 65 for everything. Not bad at all. Plus we have a lot of leftovers. The guacamole was a decent size and we had leftover. My daughter who ordered the shrimp tacos was the only one who finished all of her food. Although, she didn’t eat any of the rice or refried beans that it came with. The rice was very tasty. The beans were a little bland. Everything was fresh and hot. We will definitely be back again. I’d like to try more seafood next time."

"The food served is Top-notch. The wings are so juicy and perfectly crispy, the best I've ever eaten, and the burgers are so big and delicious! My dad seemed to enjoy the oysters too. The waitress was very sweet and attentive. Kid-friendliness: It's rather relaxed, has some fish tanks for the little ones to stare at Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch"

"The restaurant is clean enough. I ordered a cafe con leche which was very good. Pretty similar to what you would get in Mexico it brought good memories! The gorditas con frijoles y queso were too thick for my liking and had very little filling so the masa overpowered the other flavors. In Mexico gorditas are usually smaller and are very well packed with the filling and the masa (dough) is soft, this masa was a bit too hard for my taste. The chilaquiles were good. The salsa was medium spicy and had good taste. Nothing extraordinary but also not bad. The tacos were not good at all. The meat was greasy and tasted old, we didn?t eat them.However, the side of beans was really good. They have a salsa bar and I had their red salsa which was full of flavor and very spicy which I look forward at a Mexican place. Overall this place is ok but would not be my first option if visiting the area. They had a sign at the door they are looking for a cook so that is perhaps what happened because I saw so many good reviews about the place but unfortunately it wasn?t my experience. The waitress was really nice and the food came out quickly."
