"This is, without hyperbole, my favorite restaurant in California. It's the kind of restaurant that makes me rue every time I've given a 5 star review to something not at this level. Eating at The Mill is like being invited to your friend's house for dinner, except in this case your friend is a famous chef who likes adding flavor twists to classic food. You can feel the thought and care that goes into each dish as it transports you back to being a kid ratatouille style eating your favorite food after a long day of school. Did I mention they can do virtually the entire menu gluten free and vegan? Or that they have the most lovely wait staff? No, because the food is that good. As we were leaving the restaurant every person we saw was talking in disbelief about how good their food/experience was. They only have 3 employees at the moment but they were outrageously kind, welcoming, and helpful. I tried the gluten free clam chowder, pizza, a pastrami sandwich, and the rice pudding. The chowder and pudding were my favorites. I will be trying the Masala pancakes next time."

"Flawless meal, impeccable service, great vibes!!! Everyone who worked at Glen Ellen Star was kind, personal and helpful! The house baked bread is INCREDIBLE, almost like the most humid sourdough you ever had, but better. The brussel sprouts were made to perfection with so much sweet and juicy bacon. The Wagyu was BEYOND everything you could dream of, what melts in your mouth. The wild boar pasta had so interesting aromas and fresh ingredients, while still a cozy satiating bowl of pasta. We also have the Polnta olive oil cake to go and eat it divinely for breakfast the next day."

"As usual, a really amazing restaurant with sensational food and amazing warm welcome. Two years later? so good, back to our favorite restaurant in Glen Ellen. Really enjoyed the delicious food and great service. A tad disappoints that there is now a corking fee! Pre-Covid, we were used to bring our own wine, knowing that it would not add to our bill. It was a unique feature for the Feigencafé. We were a little disappointed to see that a $15 corking fee added to our bill tonight. Not for the fee itself (what is $15 on an invoice that is good over $200), but it is more for the principle. I would seriously recommend the fig café to go back to the free cork as it was before-Covid."

"I visited early one morning last week. Unfortunately, I had to get it to go. I really wanted to stay and enjoy but I needed to get to a photo shoot I was working on. I ordered the eggs benedict. Loved every bite, the potatoes where awesome. The girls in front were nice and made sure I was helped quickly. I can't wait to come back."

"The cottages are so charming and in a great location! We stayed in Cottage #5. Winter is not the usual time to be in wine country, but this stay made it the perfect time to be there. It is next to the creek and was absolutely amazing to stay in. Opening the windows to listen to the water run over the rocks and having the fireplace going was while it was cold out made it feel cozy and relaxing. The owners attention to detail is notable and were very attentive to the comfort of our stay. I loved everything about the cottages and if I get the chance to come back to this area, I will definitely stay there again!"
