"we went to this restaurant on recommendation. the food was excellent. my man had the garnel and scallop special, and I had penne wodka with a side of meatball. both were delicious. we had the seafood salad as an appetizer. also very good. the scallops that were wrapped in speck were just that. good, but nothing special. suppe or salat is included with the entree. we both ordered the pasta fagioli. they give them a big part and it was very delicious. I'll go back in any case. I watched how server dinners brought to others and all the food looked very good. I recommend this place. Good food but charged me 3% fee for using a credit card. This practice is lawful if clearly displayed at the register and stated CREDIT CARD CHARGE on the receipt. This was not displayed at front, register, or dining room. It was not detailed on the receipt only an additional charge with no explanation or Although legal I will not deal with a business so petty IN FACT I USED A DEBIT CARD. IT IS ILLEGAL TO CHARGE A FEE ON A DEBIT CARD. STATE BANKING LAW and MASTERCARD US AGREEMENT WITH ALL VENDORS. Mentioned to waitress who could care less.

Before I went to this establishment I decided to look online at their menu. I was told prices tend to be on the high side however the menu prices are very reasonable. When you sit down at the table the menu they show you is not what is o their website. All of the entrees are roughly $5.00 more than what you are expecting. The portion size is generous and the other two people I was with brought home roughly 1/2 of their portion so I guess you can get two meals out of an order. Everyone enjoyed their food and would go back. As another reviewer said, the lasagna was noodles and meat (unable to find any ricotta or other cheese inside it).

"Here is the best Italian food in Lakehurst, hands down. We regular get take out meals and of course their pizzas which we always order well done to get that great crispy and bubbly crust. This is however (IMHO) not a place to dine. It has little atmosphere, lousy drinks and the only good thing about the dine-in experience is they cut a Sicilian slice in 4 fingers and serve it to the table. The drinks are over poured: I ordered a Cosmo and could not drink it for it being too strong. Bartender said the locals love them, I replied, NO they drink them to get FACED. i told her to get me a beer instead. So stay home, do delivery and I recommend the veal picata, very well done. WARNING: you must ask for capers, they won't put them in if you don't ask. Never heard of that, capers make this dish."

"The Perigees at this restaurant were once again exceptional. The portion size was very generous and could easily be a meal on its own. It was served with plenty of perfectly cooked onions. I was also impressed with the French fries, which arrived crispy - a rare find when ordering from Door Dash. The chicken sandwich I ordered for my grandson was a hit - he devoured it and said it was excellent. This restaurant consistently delivers top-notch food that is perfectly prepared, with generous portions that justify the cost."
