"We arrived to this pub at 6:42. We walked in and we were greeted by the hostess. She took us straight to our seat and told us our waitress would be with us in just a few minutes. A few minutes later we had not been greeted. In fact, we had time to apply a fresh coat of mascara in the bathroom, gather 4 bingo cards and markers, and start round one of bingo before we were greeted. I believe it was around the 15 min mark before our “greet” took place. We ordered 4 waters and our meal all at once. Our waters were made and brought out with lemons(which we didn’t ask for) 10-12 minutes later. A total of 30 min has passed at this point. Thank goodness our water came. We were drying out. We participated in their catchy bingo game as we waited for our food. “Hit me baby one more time” “ BYE BYE BYE”, “Drowning in a sea of love” were all songs that kept our interest. Before we knew it, the beautiful sunlight was gone. It was now dark. Oh no, Miranda can’t see to drive at night. The bingo game continued but our food wasn’t with us. When would it come? Today? Tonight? Tomorrow? We weren’t sure. Our waitress finally came over and made some comments that had our minds wondering what goes on in Sanford at nighttime? Did she put our food in? It has now been an hour and 15 min. The truth is, the kitchen in fact wasn’t cooking it. Our waitress took care of that and yelled at the kitchen staff to start cooking our food. We’re all sweating. We don’t know what day it is. How long can you live without food? Are these our last moments? Whew, here comes our food. 3 out of 4 orders were correct. The grilled chicken however was fried and was placed between two brioche buns rather than the rye ones we ordered. Thankfully are silly Sanford waitress took it back to the kitchen staff, yelled at them again and had them remake it. By the time it came out correctly the three of us were stuffed like pigs. Miranda’s hands were sweaty thinking about how late it was. Would we be able to finish the trip? We received our checks after asking twice and letting out our opinions. You know what they say about opinions, everyone has one. We all received a $1.60 discount. Thank goodness. Think about how far $1.60 will go in these times. At the end of the day the food was great, the service sucked. Call ahead and make sure they have hired cooks and servers. If not, you will be driving to the beach in the dark 3 hours after you sat down for dinner."
