"Not much to look at outside or inside really, by all accounts the food and service should have matched but were fantastic!! Probably the biggest highlight of our long day driving. I got the steak tacos, which had grilled tortillas, and tender and flavorful steak bits inside. Delightful."

the cactus caffe has the best chips and salsa in the city. it is my favorite place to go for a great steak! recommend the steaks with seasoned riders!

excellent dinner! I had the smoky cheese queso to begin with and the pork solid dish taco plate. both were delicious! the server was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back here when I travel through deming!

"Home cooking in a quaint little place with 5 tables inside and a couple outside. It's a little difficult to find, because it's in the alley behind the Wells Fargo Bank. It's been owned for 13 years by a couple originally from Mississippi. He does most of the cooking and she bakes the pies. I hesitate to order meatloaf anywhere, but glad I did here. My husband had the skillet fried chicken...be prepared, that takes about 30 minutes, as it is cooked when ordered. We had no concerns about the wait, GOOD chicken is worth waiting for. YUM! A must try when in Deming!"

"Amazing food for VERY cheap! The interior is really nice and there's also outdoor seating in the cool shade. The waiter was friendly and the overall vibe was great. We got two breakfasts and a horchata for $20 total, great place to stop on the road."

"Two stars because I have been here on many occasions and this is the first time it was this bad.After a super busy day of traveling and visiting with friends the kids and I were starving, and we can’t get green chili like this in Texas …Service was a little slow, which I could see they were training so I understood that of course… but why!! Why the food ?!The food was cold and I asked if they could reheat mine at least because I didn’t want to be a bother… but then when they brought it out all the chili had dried out… ? I should of just ate it cold I guess.My kids wouldn’t eat theirs for the same reason so I gave them my rice and beans.The shredded beef was odd … it was dry and tasteless.I complained to three different servers in the most polite way I could muster … and not one of them offered a solution… I should of just asked for the manager. Im sure we have all had to pay for plenty of meals that weren’t worth it but that was disappointing.The last time we came we really enjoyed it. And I always thought it was good growing up here. But after this experience we wont be coming back for awhile."
