"Ennju is on the verge of being closed permanently. So when it came to choosing between it and the poke spot next door, we opted for it. It feels like a casual place, but the price doesn't nearly reflect that. The service is short and sweet, and I wish them all the best considering this place won't be around in the future. As for the food, the quantity was largely sufficiently. The karaage with udon comes with large pieces of fried chicken. The noodle isn't particularly great, according to Rozena. But the pieces of chicken are fine. The beef Gyudon comes with an enormous amount of rice, and all the flavors work well, together."

note: they are permanently closing on june 29. i will miss them!impeccable grab-and-go cafeteria-style sit-down spot. the spicy salmon onigiri and buckwheat tea are, and i mean this in the best way possible, very practical choices. the staff are the best!!

I will come into the office sometimes from Brooklyn just so I can get Ennju for lunch. The rice bowls here come with incredibly plump and juicy meat that has that savory, sweet mirin sake soy sauce taste, mixed together with a just-right egg on top of a steaming bed of rice. So Fire. Here's a half eaten bowl cause I couldn't help scarfing it down.
