"Working up here in bad axe, heard about the buffet, thought I'd give it a try, it was phenomenal, fresh, perfectly seasoned an breaded fish shrimp, fried chicken was light and flakey, steak..fresh mushrooms had great taste,mashed potatoes, salad bar was really nice an ice cream n lil deserts, waitstaff so kind an friendly, sent pics an was on vid to show my wife (who is jealous) said she would be willing to do the 2 1/2 hr hike for us, to come up and get their fri or sat buffet !!!!!!, Thank you"

I stayed on July 3rd out of convenience with my 2 children. It was a 2 bed room 1 of the beds were completely broken, with brown stains. I couldn't tell if it was blood or chocolate on the sheets, so me and 2 kids crammed into 1 bed for the night. Disgusting!!!! Rooms: 1 Service: 3 Location: 3

Hotel was extremely run down and poorly cleaned. We had our wedding in the area, we recommended staying else where but some did stay in this hotel. We were promised one price and charged another. Please avoid staying here at all cost. The holiday inn in town was very nice. Lisa the manager was extremely rude and unpleasant to talk too. Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 3

"I wish they had such a place in my town! Was in Bad Axe for work and decided to try China King for lunch and ended every day here while I was in town. Prices are very fair for the quality of food. Every dish I tried was hot and fresh as if it just came out of the oven. The meat is delicate and tasty and not the typical processed foods that are common to most Chinese restaurants. All vegetables also tasted freshly cooked and definitely not heated again. The size of the lunch plates was more than I could eat, each supplied with a soup and spring roll. When I'm back in town, I'm looking forward to another visit!"

"When I was from Texas, I'm used to Mexican food. I'm so glad to finally have authentic Mexican food in the thumb area. The food was delicious and the menu has a wide range of options. Everything was up to expectations, even waiting. We had a party of 7 and entered while the restaurant was packed and still within 30 minutes. As a new restaurant I knew that waiting could be long, but surprisingly wasn't as long as I had estimated. I will recommend Peppers to anyone who wants to try somewhere new in the area. Great work!!! In any case, you are happy to try more of the menu!"

"Had a big party for brunch and we were met with the best service in the city. Everything was perfect from food to the service of the staff, so we feel at home. I ended up with the meat lover skill, that was amazing! The rest of the group rode over the biscuits and Gravy and the crispy bacon. In any case, come by and give the Peppermill a shot for brunch. I know I'm coming back to try out the rest of their menu."

"Thank you for offering so many gluten-free products on your menu. As an individual who needs to avoid gluten, it is a rare treat to find a restaurant that serves delicious food that is safe for me to eat. My salmon, potatoes and asparagus were delicious and I did not experience stomach bleeding or pain. Yah! Your waiting staff was also very patient with me when I asked questions about how the food was prepared to determine whether it was something I could eat. Thanks again."

"Great experience! That was a family trip, and my father is disabled, so we called ahead to ask waiting time and accommodation. We sat right away and they had arrangements for a simple seat for us. We all ordered Steak, which only seemed to be the logical thing to do. Steak cooked to order? Let me tell you this place is right! They also offer a good selection of beer and cocktails. The service was very good and they were well occupied. We'll be back, thanks for the evening!"
