"Conclusion: Recommended hotel restaurant with huge herbs and vegetable garden, as a result fresh and regional products are recommended. Location: Located directly on the connecting road from Pfronten to Eisenberg, this hotel has its own free parking. To get to the terrace and to the restaurant, however, some stairs must be handled. The occasion: after Corona and some additional adversities it was once again time to go with good acquaintances. For a long time we wanted to visit the bear and so we were happy to do this on a Wednesday. Because it was in the middle of the week I believed without tel. Reservation with 4 persons can be found. When we arrived shortly before 13:00 we were very surprised how full it was. Before the restaurant entrance there was a desk with the request to wait until a place is assigned by the service and the contact address is listed. All adhered to the rules and were equipped with MNS and held the distances. The ambience: The bear is a traditional place that, like so often in our area, has emerged from agriculture. The whole building comes somewhat rustic, but fits into the landscape. However, the special is the “herbal garden” of the sheer invisible size. In addition to the herbs – also in a huge (beachable) herbal spiral – countless tomato varieties are also drawn and cultivated in a separate greenhouse. The seating on the terrace is somewhat different, but this is probably due to Corona. From the terrace you have a beautiful view of the Breitenberg. The menu: is clearly structured and contains, in addition to some international dishes, mainly regional offers, of course also special dishes from the herbal garden and own lemonades whose syrup (as well as herbs) can also be purchased commercially. The service: the service personnel are very friendly and accommodating. Despite the many guests, they acted very quickly and quickly without hectic. Drinks: we ordered two dkl. Wheat at 3,90 € each, a soft wheat at 4,10 € and a pils (from the barrel) at 3,50 €. The beverages were delivered quickly and properly tempered. The prices for our area are already in the upper range, but still tolerable. The food: here we decided for Sapphire mussels at 11,50 € which were very well roasted with clear roast traces and beautifully glazed inside. They were served in a scallop shell on a puree and salads, perfect. The fishermen's salad, which was still ordered at €15.80, apparently caused difficulties in the kitchen, because it came quite time-settled as last to the table and the salads looked a bit cloudy and the salmon was quite through while the other fish were good and okay. Various fried vegetables completed the plate, which was tastefully very good. Furthermore, there was a pork roast with dumplings and herb at €14.50, which was served with a bright sauce, here something unusual but quite fine. Meat tender and juicy. The last one is a carving of pig with pommes at 14,50 €. The pommes good standard, crispy and hot beautiful tan, unfortunately with this unspeakable ketchup bag on the plate. Either serve separately or not at all if a guest wishes to have it, he can order it. The Schnitzel itself without fault and tadel beautiful souffed breakdown, juicy and hot. Cleanliness: from no occasion to criticize, the tables were cleaned and wiped after each guest. Otherwise everything is very tidy and clean. The toilets were not visited, so no rating."
