"If I could say one word for Fore Street it’s consistent. It never fails to give us the best food and service that we could ask for when we visit. We were sat down at a booth and immediately felt the ventilation was blowing cold air on us. We mentioned to our server Sarah, that it was very cold and could we have another table. Sarah immediately told Matt and he kindly sat us at another booth. We appreciated the prompt action. Our party of four enjoyed the mussels an outstanding pork belly. Our entrees of skirt steak, diver scallops, halibut, and the porchetta were all excellent. This dinner was a celebration of our wedding anniversary. Our server Sarah made our night so enjoyable. We loved her sense of humor. I mistakenly said it was our anniversary and my husband and friends laughed. I said oops So when our desserts came see picture) we roared. Written on the plate was HAPPY x-ed out, Anniversary. It’s special touches like this that make for a memorable night. Thank you Matt, Sarah and Fore Street for making our evening extra special. "eating was really good, many options. I felt that the portions were really small. I asked if they had milk for the boba I got, and the girl was sneaking me instead of just telling me they didn't. the bobas was still warm when I got my drink and the ice was melted so that the drink itself wasn't as cold as I would like, but the taro flavor was really good and my friend thought it was really better. You can build your own Poke shell and I suggest you go hard on the beats, as I said, they don't put much on it. overall good I just think that the girl at the counter would have been a bit warmer."

"The food and the staff were wonderful. No reservation, no problem. a large small restaurant, warm and cozy. We shared an appetizer and a salad with salmon (both were excellent) and large cudos to our waiter, they had no problems with it. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. If you are looking for a good meal in South Portland You go there, you won't be disappointed."

"Visited for the first time, but not the last, last weekend. Loved everything about the restaurant...the atmosphere, the staff and oh, did I mention the food? I had the brussels sprouts for a starter and for my main, I had the Blue Plate special which that night was crispy duck breast with mushroom risotto and my sister had the half chicken. I love that it is such a neighbourhood establishment and that a family can afford to go out for a good meal at a good price. We will definitely be back!"

"My husband and I had our small post wedding reception dinner here. We were able to work with Christina, the event planner to make every detail perfect and personalized for us. She helped us decide on everything from wines to napkins. The four course meal was beautiful and delicious. All of the 12 guests loved their meals. We had a wonderful experience working with this restaurant. The team at five fifty-five helped make our small wedding so special."
