"We had a group of 7 people for dinner before a show at the Met on Saturday night. Everyone who worked at Green Soul was very friendly, from hostess to bartender to servers. But our servers (one was training) weren’t around very often to refill drinks, take away plates, etc. And it took a very long time for appetizers (which were basically just hummus and a very uninspiring raw veggies plate) to come out, and then also a long time for our meals to be delivered. Food was overall very good. Cocktails weren’t great, they were out of most beers on the menu, and they had a very limited, mostly Pennsylvania-based wine list. We hadn’t been before and I’m glad we finally checked it out, but I wouldn...

While the food (tempura shrimp tacos) was good, the service, ambiance, and entertainment were incredible. Everyone was very friendly, the establishment is beautiful, the live musicians were amazing. I am VERY MUCH looking forward to returning!

The service was incredible! Initially, they couldn't figure out where to put us, but once they did, it was uphill from there. One of the hostesses noticed that our table was wobbling and actually moved us. We had a group of appetizwrs between plantains and parsnip fries and vegetable soup, we barely needed our main courses. My husband will only order the jambalaya here. He thinks it's the best substitute for the jambalaya in New Orleans. My Buffalo califlower tacos were a little too over run with the sauce, but the cauliflower was very well done. Unfortunatelyy, we came too early to stay for the music but it looked like it was going to be fabulous as well. We always enjoy our meals there.

"We were there celebrating two birthdays. Our server Faith was wonderful. She was attentive without being intrusive and knowledgeable about the menu. We were a table of 6 and ordered quite a bit of food, some of which was great and others lackluster. The bao buns were great and the small calamari salad was huge and those who had it said delicious. The spareribs were good as well as the edamame dumplings, although the way those were served made it hard to fully enjoy. Each dumpling should be on a individual type spoon so you can enjoy the soup part as well as the dumpling. The way they were served in one large bowl with only one spoon made it so the soup part is left at the bottom. I did request extra spoons from the expediter but they never came. The worst part of our appetizer course was somehow an item was switched to another in the computer and served to us. It had shellfish in it and that wasn’t known when someone at our table who doesn’t eat shellfish ate it. The sashimi was good but the tuna tartare thing was really bad. The entrees we had were the duck, which I was told was delicious, the miso cod, which was fishy, the whole fish which was tasteless, the lobster fried rice, which was okay but lacking flavor. The best dish was the black pepper beef, it was delicious and elegantly served. We had all the sides and all were quite good especially the eggplant and the wasabi mashed potatoes. It was a nice evening but it felt a little stale for a Starr restaurant."
