"Good tempura is traditionally high class, light, and expensive. Hannosuke offers a different approach to tempura with their tendon rice bowls that are saucy, robust, and full of flavor. Their menu concept is very simple: tempura, soba, and rice, but they still have a lot of choices and even a kids option. I ordered the Edomae Tendon because it had the anago (freshwater eel). It came with lots of rice, miso soup, and some pickled ginger. It all tastes very good and it’s very hearty. Only issue is that it could be crunchier. The tempura was a little soggy."

I've eaten here in the past but decided to try delivery. The tempura actually held up pretty well and stayed crispy. I ordered the chicken plate set which came with tempura chicken, 2 shrimp, broccoli, pumpkin, seaweed, Shishito pepper, and a soft-boiled egg. The soft-boiled egg definitely stood out with its consistency, taste, and bright orange yolk. The set also came with rice and miso soup which stayed very hot. I also got a side of the white fish. If nothing else, try the soft-boiled egg!

It's hard to rate this place because sometimes the food is 4 stars with generous sized shrimp and veggies and other times it's been more like 2 stars with sad skinny over cooked shrimp tempura. I'd say the pricing is fair and it's quick and easy in the food court at Mitsuwa so I recommend this place as a good option if you are shopping for groceries and looking for something easy. I would not necessarily drive all the way here just for their food but again, it's affordable and efficient so a solid option when at Mitsuwa.
