"Nice Midwestern (Indiana) themed breakfast spot. The decor is all Indiana forward, and the food was tasty. I got the Spanish omlette, and it had the perfect ratio of fillings to eggs. It also had a hearty amount of cheese on the inside. Us Midwestern people love our cheese. The potatoes weren't as crispy as I would have liked (easily remedied by ordering them well done next time), but the flavor was great. The service was attentive and prompt. The food came out very quickly as well. If you are looking for a new spot to try, swing in here and check it out."

10/8/22 my friend and I went from Tucson to Chandler. We came to Hoosier Cafe by chance. I ordered the sausage Omelet. It was FABULOUS. Even the coffee tasted so much better than other restaurants. My friend Sonia also enjoyed it very much. All staff were very friendly.

The chicken fried steak skillet was DELICIOUS!! Our waitresses Lyndsay and Lisa were fantastic. Lisa was the comedian between the two. Keep it up Lisa!!!! Having two great waitresses, comedy and a great breakfast is unbeatable. I highly recommend this restaurant. Next time I visit AZ this is the first place I will go!!!!

Hands down, one of the best tenderloins you can get in Arizona. The supply ratio is exactly what it should be. Cooked for perfection and the potato **** was soft to make an excellent sandwich. I've come to this place for over 15 years, and it never lets me down again. Large midwest shares for fair prices with employees who always welcome everyone. You also get your food extremely fast as they can turn tables so quickly. Keep the big work guys!!!

"I think this is officially my favorite Japanese place in the city!!! The food here was amazing! The sushi was super high quality and fresh. I go to a lot of sushi places in town and compared to them, Shimogamo is on the pricier side, but definitely worth the money. You can try the difference in the quality of sushi here. Reservations are available online and are quite easy to make. From the reservation screen I saw that they had the regular culinary experience and the Omakase experience $120/person and at least 2 people I would like to try next time! My friend and I made reservations online and sat as soon as we were there, although we were 15 minutes early. Once we got to the seat, the server helped us explain that their two most famous items were the Hirame Usuzukuri $20 and the truffle Amberjack $21, both under appetizers on the paper menu. After her recommendation, we got the Hirame Usuzukuri, who was the Healbutt. That was my favorite dish this night!!! The Halibut tasted super fresh and the sauce had the perfect amount of citrus flavor from the Yuzu and did not exaggerate the fish. We also have the Sunomono and fried Calamari. We loved how refreshing the sunomono was, it had the perfect amount of tartness from vinegar and the octopus, gurke and seaweed complemented perfectly. The fried Calamari was good, but tasted like average fried Calamari, the Nori flakes gave him a beautiful seaweed taste, but there was nothing too special about the dish overall. That was probably my favorite dish here. We also have a variety of nigiri with the salmon nigiri is our favorite! All nitrili were super thick and fresh, but the salmon is just different. It was one of the most salmon tasting salmon I had in my life!! I'm just ordering plates of salmon if I could! For the rolls we have a classic shrimp empura roll and then one of the signature cast and lawn rolls. We enjoyed the shrimp tempoura roll more than the surf and lawn roll. The tail ends of the surf and lawn rolls tasted a bit bland compared to the middle sections, we were not sure whether it was due to the distribution of ingredients, but as you were closer to the center, the flavors were better. The shrimp empura roll was very pleasant on the other side, it had a nice balance of all ingredients! For dessert we ordered the hojicha panna cotta, it tasted like roasted green tea and was not overly sweet! It had a crispy sesame tuile on top and a thin layer of black sugar jelly on the panna cotta. I enjoyed it very much! Overall here are my individual reviews for the dishes: Hirame Usuzukuri 5/5!!! Very recommended!!!! Try it and you won't regret it! Presentation also looks beautiful! Sunomono 5/5 : If you want refreshing Asian pickles, get this!!! Salmon Nigiri 5/5! That was like the most smooth salmon I've ever had! Other Nigiri 4.5/5 : tasted super and super fresh, but the salmon put me the most, this really depends on your individual taste Shrimp Tempura Roll 4/5 : really love how crispy the shrimp was and it had the perfect combination of avocado, gurkeura and shrimp with a nice touch of miso surf and turf roll 3.5/5 : we liked the shrimps It is a unique combination of wagyu and shrimp though! Fried Calamari 3/5 : it was not amazing, but was not bad, could recommend another fried appetizer instead of Hojicha Panna Cotta 5/5 try: not super sweet and tasty as roasted green tea I love!!! So if you are not a big fan of super sweet things and you want dessert, I recommend trying!"
