"Very disappointed in the menu and maybe the lowest quality meal we had during our week at Chiemsee.The restaurant caters to big tourist groups and is simply too big to provide quality food and / or good service.We started with the local lake fish ("Renee"), a typically very tasty fish with similar attributes to a trout but this was dry and tasteless. We had a second dish with the same fish, this time raw as "matjes", a bit better but still underwhelming. The local mushrooms ("Pfifferlinge"), advertised as special, were covered in a thick sauce and came with a big "Knoedel" (???), you could count the actual number of mushrooms on two hands. The venison was over-cooked, chewy and in a thick herb crust (which was somewhat tasty but we couldn't taste the meat). The service staff worked hard but just couldn't cope with the large number of guests (and they told me that they were not even booked out !).There are much better places to eat around the Chiemsee. Sadly, the fish died in vain ..."
