"If you are looking for an explosion from the past, no mussels, no foot, old school restaurant, which is run by the flowering charming older gala called Dolly, then don't look further than the oldest restaurant in the old north of Charleston called Idle Hour, 11 to 3 m-sat. Old time Diner farewell, away from days, like making Momma earlier, at prices that do not break the budget, twice pays the price for the entertaining personality and repartee of Dolly and the cartridges. 10 mice for a hand-rolled burger, pommes and old North Charleston sweet tea house boiled with grandma love and spunkyness."

This place is amazing. The hamburgers are delicious and the Hometown charm is a beautiful touch. We also ordered a page of fries and two hot dogs. We loved it and we will certainly visit again!

We have been fans of Idle Hour for about 20 years now. It is still owned by Dolly, who is a well-known figure in North Charleston. If you're looking for local, casual, and affordable food, this is the perfect spot. We enjoy their daily specials like ham, lima beans, rice, Southern-style cabbage, and Mac 'n' cheese. Their chili burgers are also delicious! Don't expect trendy farm-to-table dishes, but do expect flavorful meat and sides that remind you of classic Southern comfort food. It's like taking a trip back home.
