"Charming local restaurant with an English menu. The food was outstanding. Hubby and I both had the s weiner schnitzel, which was delicious. Best I have ever eaten. I don't like potato salad, and the server was glad to change the side to speatzle, which was outstanding. Beer was our drink of choice. Don't flinch when the schnitzel is served with lemon-use it, and the accompanying jelly is great. Don't miss this charming, affordable restaurant."

"I was there with my girlfriend over the weekend. We had great days and really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Alpenkönig. The staff is very friendly, attentive and accommodating. The customer is king is very important here. The food is a culinary highlight. And the presentation is simply wonderful as we all know, the eye eats too. The sauna area is small but nice and completely sufficient to relax after a hiking tour. We really didn't miss anything and would like to thank you again for the great three days. We will definitely recommend the Hotel Alpenkönig. Kind regards from Augsburg!!! Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5"

"I am not a great fan of sending places in general, but that was a pleasant surprise. Actually, when I and my friends came to the place, we were not sure if it was a caffe or a restaurant. but when we asked for food, the waitress was. pleasant and spoke English, even about the menu for us. Two of us had the burger and the other two had the fish. everything was quite delicious and I would give the burger a b as an American who loves a good burger. the atmosphere was beautiful and we enjoyed a nice evening outside on the terrace. this place is new, beautiful and has a great selection of weeps, but it is bayern, so there are always bier."

"best kitchen, secret top, country house with style! in the picturesque village thalkirchdorf is located in the middle of the center the chic village house with fantastic beer garden. more allgäu flair is not going. parking is available around the restaurant. eating has highest quality and also the salads have an excellent dressing. the service is also true. we had a nice evening and look forward to the next visit!"

"Very nice restaurant with good home cooked food the dolmadas were excellent in the lemon sauce. Not sure the taramasalata was home made it was a bit bland and served with French bread not pitta. Tasty gyrus (donna) with salad and taziki. All wines were greek and I don't understand how greek wine is so bad...they've had a few years practice but I have never drunk any decent greek wine even in Greece. Had to add fizzy water to our rose to make it palatable. But nice waiters nice terrace and nice food."
