"Went to the Mandarin Oriental just to explore with a friend. We got there in time for the breakfast at La Mar. The buffet spead was so beautifully put together. Do much diversity everyone will be satisfied. We ate on the deck and had he most breathtaking view of the city from across the lagoon. Just that I. Itself was worth it. I definitely recommend this restaurant. It was a little pricey but worth every penny. The service was so great and our server was so personable. Nice place to just go, relax and take in the beauty of the city."

The food and ambiance are enjoyable. You can see the Brickell Center across the bay. I recommend doing a walk along the waterfront after dinner ans it was a relaxing walk. However, parking is expensive, $16 even after restaurant validation and there's no other way to get parking on this small island.

We went for the Mother's Day Brunch Special and it did not disappoint! Great variety in the buffet and great complimentary cocktail and menu selection, service was very attentive and orders arrived very fast, not to mention our spectacular view over Miami Brickell Bay. Always a pleasure, a must try like any other of Gaston Acurio's restaurants, he knows what he's doing and he definitely is one of the best Peruvian Chef's in the world!

"I took my husband here as a surprise for our anniversary. It was our first time in this location but we've been to the one in Turkey. I called in ahead of time to let them know we'll be there for our anniversary and asked if they do anything. The person on the one stated we bring out a premium dessert to you and our servers will over to say Happy Anniversary. I asked if he could notate it on the reservation and he said he would. We had our dinner and they brought out the dessert they have which is the bakhlava. Now being in the hospitality business and prior experiences, restaurants bring out the dessert complimentary when there's an occasion and that's what I understood from the host that answered the phone. Anyways, they brought out the check and charged us for the dessert. I kindly asked to speak with the manager, Lawrence and explained to him the sit and showed him the call on my phone. He left and checked with the person that answered the phone and stated that there was a misunderstanding and we don't offer complimentary dessert. Now as a courtesy and from such a high end restaurant, you would think they would go ahead and take care of the dessert as this is what was explained to me but he rudely refused. He was not polite or helpful whatsoever. I for sure will not be going to this location again and definitely don't appreciate how Lawrence the manager had treated us"
