"The food is spectacular, but the staff are really the best part of this facility. And to round it off, they are more than happy to accommodate food allergies! Recently, I went here for date night with my significant others when we saw that the reviews were great and we are in Waukee. Sometimes we can have problems with eating because we both have nut allergies. After informing our waitress (I regretfully you don't remember her name) of our nut allergies she offered to speak directly with the chef to ensure that there were no nut products in the dishes we ordered. And in addition, they even used a difference cook top location and utensils to prepare our food. When we talk about our nut allergies to restaurants, we often feel bad how we can feel it as we difficult or high maintenance, but this waitress explained that she was actually used to it because she had a roommate with allergies at one point. And wanted to make us very clear that we were NOT difficult at all and she was more than happy to help with our accommodations. This facility has been my business for years to come thanks to the fantastic waitress and chef. If the owners/manager read this. Make sure you recognize her how she really went beyond and beyond."

"Absolutely love this restaurant! Love the food and the staff! I appreciate the fact that they have a coloring activity and crayons for children, as I have a 3 year old son who frequently gets bored at most restaurants. The service was amazing and the food came out promptly and hot. They never once let my boyfriend's soda get low. If you haven't been, you must try this place out! One of our new favorites."

"The restaurant is a charming little spot with some of the best food in Des Moines. The Mediterranean dishes are fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The service is friendly and efficient. My partner and I ordered the chicken platter, which came with pita bread, hummus, rice, chicken kebabs, grilled vegetables, and salad. The portion size was generous and the kebabs and veggies were perfectly grilled with a delicious smoky flavor. For dessert, we had baklava which was also delicious."

"This was our first time and we will not only be back, but we will be regulars. Food was outstanding and the family atmosphere was even better. They even insisted we bring in our dog and brought out a plate of food for him which he loved. MJ and our server were incredible. We will be eating here over Fresh Mediterranean. Highly recommend!"

"WOW! This BBQ joint is the BOMB!! Especially for my palate. It took 2 hours drive/driving in search of some good food and landscape. By Google I saw Big Al's BBQ. I looked at the reviews for Big Al's and there were a lot of bad reviews. When reading the bad reviews, someone mentioned Kue'd Smokehouse. So I made a decision to review them. I must say I was very impressed!! The staff was great. Especially the Host Travis. He was great to talk to the story of this BBQ joint. The food was delicious!! I had a ribbed plate with the TIP still attached and beef ends with some sides. I took home a pound of smoked chicken wing for the Super Bowl tomorrow. I can only say I'll pay you a visit again! And soon."
