Hit or miss. Last order I got the meat and cheese were cold and it look like a burrito bowl instead of a burrito.

Food was fine, lady with the blonde highlights and attitude problem tried to blame me For missing my order entirely and having me wait double the time she said on the phone. Won't be coming back, such a rude young lady.

"Downtown Wylie is the perfect place for breakfast! We’ve lived here for 16 years and have never gotten tired of Ballard Street Cafe, if anything we simply love it more with time. It’s family owned and currently open breakfast and lunch. Both menus have many delicious options! This morning we sat at the bar for breakfast about 9a on a Sunday with no wait. My partner ordered the blue plate special, 2 eggs and fried bologna, and I had the Mexicali scramble, we shared 4 sausage links. Everything was delicious. My partner commented he was surprised by how thick the fried bologna was and that it exceeded his expectations, he also had wheat toast and hash browns and in his words, an extraordinarily large glass of orange juice. My Mexicali scramble was amazing! Easily one of my favorite breakfast meals anywhere! It is several eggs scrambled with slices of grilled onion, jalapeños, tomato, and ground sausage, covered in cheese and served with 3 toasty tortillas. The dish also came with crispy hash browns and I added white toast. The toast was buttery and they had four flavors of butter available grape, strawberry, mixed, and apple butter. My first bite and I was just like oh my gosh this is so good, despite having eaten it many times in the past. The serving staff is awesome and gets to know their regulars. The owners are compassionate and really invested in. the customer experience. Prices are more than reasonable. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a yummy breakfast for the family, a morning date, or a work meeting."

"We love the location and still stop in on occasion to check out the merchandise and get a coffee. Unfortunately, it’s just changed too much since it was sold and the quality and quantity of merchandise has declined in both regards. We used to buy gifts for the whole family throughout the year, now it’s even more of a coffee shop to hang out at. The coffee drinks are good, sweet, but good, so I guess it depends on what you’re looking for. Service varies, but is generally friendly."

"This was my first time here. The food was great I really like the salmon.It was large and tasty. The guy up front was nice. It was almost the perfect night, but found a piece of what looked like a small plastic zip tie lock at the bottom of my glass. Showed it to the guy up front.I had no idea where it came from. I didn?t make a big deal or want to be to harsh because the food and service were so good. It?s probably just incidental. I would love to give this place 5 stars and come back, but a little quality reassurance would be nice."

"I enjoyed my Eggs Benedict..hubbs wasn't thrilled with his standard eggs, bacon, hashbrown.. Servers took a minute to acknowledge you. After we got our ticket they we're very friendly. First timers get a free cinnamon pancake. Pretty tasty.. I'd diffently go back and try it.."

"I like to start by saying that I couldn't commit to giving this place 4 stars and that if I could I would give 3.5. To start off, this restaurant had good food I really enjoyed it but the drinks were not very good (their happy hour margaritas were entirely too sweet) and the service was very bad. When we came in we were the only table, but despite it being slow we felt like we were rushed by the server the entire time. Our server kept coming over trying to rush our food, didn't even offer the dessert menu when we were done with our entrees, and immediately gave us our check and tried to cash us out. The food was really good but that bad service put a bad taste in my mouth, that and the bad drinks. When it comes to the food, it was all delicious though. We had the Street Corn, the Chimichanga, and the Pork Tamales and it was all very good, cooked perfectly and had so much flavor the salsa was good as well. I'm trying to debate whether I'll come back or not because of knowing what I can expect, but at least know that they do have good food."
