"I was at first hesitant to try this spot cause the menu was pretty limited and my family can't always agree on what to order when there's a small menu, but I'm glad I did! Everything I got from here was tasty and the girl helping us was friendly. I got the hotpot for two, the durian pizza, the eel pizza and mochi egg puff. Since it was my first time trying the spot, I got a 0.5 spice level and tried their signature broth. At 0.5, it was still plenty flavorful and considering that my family all likes different spice levels, this worked for us so that we could add our own hot sauce. It came with a nice selection as well: imitation crab, spam, mushroom, fungus, cabbage, daikon, beef, quail egg...

This place does great mala hot pot, great flavor and portions. There is a mix of ingredients in the pot and when they say pot for two, it's a two person portion that they split into two take out containers so there isn't an even number of items in each container. You'll have to put it into a communal bowl or figure out how to move ingredients to split it up evenly. But definitely great flavor and worth a try.

"Buttercup had a Dr's appointment in Newport Beach and I spotted Flower Child as we were exiting McArthur and new we had to eat there after the appointment. After reviewing the menu we both wanted the same thing the Mother Earth. Ancient grains, sweet potato, portobello mushroom, avocado, cucumber, broccoli pesto, charred onion, leafy greens, red pepper miso vinaigrette, hemp seed with Tofu as the protien. We called in our order and were told 10 minutes wow I love how fast it was. When I picked up the food I was greeted by a very friendly staff and was just blown away by all the fresh ingredients that were being prepped, like the tomatoes were beautiful! She asked me if I wanted a drink or anything else, i declined she processed my payment and as she was doing so I immediately regretted this decision, there on the table behind her was Rose petal Lemonade!!! I knew I had to have this, and told expressed my sorry for not seeing it sooner. I gave her back my card and ordered the drink, and she told me don't worry I got you. That made my day, and created a loyal customer who will return. The lemonade was sweet and I am glad I just got 1 to share, but it was so good! We get home and our bowls are beautiful, portions are generous but not over the top. There was a good proportion of grains, avocado in relation to the tofu and greens etc. For my tastes the grains or something was little salty, but Buttercup didn't feel the same. It was probably just my preference for low sodium cooking. Over all the experience was excellent and the food was fresh and very good. Updated from previous review on 2020 07 09"
