P.j. Whelihan's Pub Reading

The place was full but there was ample seating and no wait time. The waitresses were fast. This is a sports bar type restaurant and there are no bad seats. There are wall to wall tv's on every wall and can be seen from every seat. The menu had a large selection(not your average sports bar) and the food was spectacular and served fast. This is one of my new favorite places.

I believe that PJ's issues stem from poor management, including inadequate training and procedures. For example, when food is ready, it should be brought out to the table by any available staff member rather than being left to sit until the server gets to it. While the food and service have the potential to be good, too often they fall short of expectations. If you enjoy sports, beer, and basic bar food, then PJ's may be a suitable spot for you. However, if you are seeking a more consistent dining experience, there are plenty of other excellent places in West Reading that are worth your time and money.

We had gone out to do some grocery shopping. And when we were in the parking lot we could see that very close there was a restaurant that looked pretty good from the outside so we decided to go inside. P.J. Whelihan's is a place with a super nice atmosphere, good music. As a first impression we liked it. Our waitress was named Mara. She was very nice and helpful. I asked for a mojito but they didn't have all the ingredients. So she recommended another rum drink. it was super tasty. My husband ordered a local beer from the same restaurant.
