"Great Bbq and great service in a quirky-themed bbq restaurant with its own pork hill. We had the shaved brisket, the fried chicken dinner and the Brunswick stew. All right. A variety of secondary dishes to supplement the various choices and plentiful sitting. On the back there is a hill full of plastic. Sweet and it seems that you buy a pig and leave your brand on the hill for $3. Will be back."

We love driving here for BBQ only. All we tried is good. Order onion rings and roasted Okra. After lunch a beautiful walk in downtown Ellijay, nothing better than Poole’s BBQ

Good barbecue, I really liked the frits and the atmosphere is your typical from the beaten path Barbecue joint, but that's what I like. Overall definitely recommend to stop here

That's how BBQ should be! The staff was as friendly and treated as family! The pig was really good. Tried the smoky and original sauces, and they had a great taste, but the BBQ just didn't need a sauce! The Mac and the cheese were so creamy and delicious, but the beans are there!! Small pieces of meat mixed with beans... OMG... value back only for those! Do your taste buds a favor and stop by!

"That place is claustrophobic! Its too cramped to be paying 16 dollars for a personal size pizza (that's the only size btw is 12 inches) that had all different shapes slices haha. Good luck using the bathroom and not getting wacked by the prep doors or being in everyone's way while they try to go to and from the back prep area. All the workers were super polite/nice about it but the point is that there is one bathroom for the whole place and it's in a tight awkward spot so if its busy in there you get to play frogger while you wait. The pizzas we got had a great flavor but the pizza was floppy and kind of hard to eat till you got closer to the crust. The shiitake mushroom pizza had a lot of oil on it so maybe that's why. We got the 3 way hummus plate and the hot dip was all over the feta, tomato and arugula so we couldnt eat it cause it was so dang spicy! Why not serve it all in ramekins or a better plate with sections? Very little pesto, the olives are halves and are a topping on the hummus not an actual item on the plate like it sounds in the description. For 12 dollars it was a bare minimum plate. It's really meant for one person. Our server was a very nice young woman and the place was busy for sure (on a wait when we left) but for that price point I expected more. Also why doesnt anyone in the FOH wear slip resistant shoes? One lady was walking around in some killer platform chunky boots (like 4 inches tall) which were pretty sweet but didnt seem appropriate for a restaurant job."
