Rose - Menu

Rose is one of the rare restaurants in Kalkan that truly understands vegan cuisine. While many other restaurants offer vegetarian options that still include dairy products, the staff at Rose were knowledgeable and accommodating, ensuring that we had a delicious vegan meal. We enjoyed dishes such as vegan bread with hummus, cig kofte, spinach and potato gozleme with oil, and a tasty vegan casserole.

Really good restaurant we visited twice on holiday. The owner Yunis is very knowledgeable about vegan food and offered to customize several dishes for me. So kind and nothing too much trouble. The owner's father bakes bread on the grounds and made me fresh Pitta (no milk) with my hummus. They bring you fresh dips and pide as an appetite maker, also helpful show that are vegan friendly. I had the vegetable cuprole for main that was delicious. Really nice to eat somewhere where you don't feel like being an annoying vegan lol! So friendly and helpful. Would definitely return when we visit Kalkan again. Appropriate prices too.

For our main course, we opted for the vegetarian spaghetti, which was also vegan. The food was incredibly delicious, with the hummus being creamy, the chips perfectly cooked, the bread tasty, and the spaghetti flavorful. The prices were also very reasonable, with the spaghetti costing 96 lira (about £4.90 at the time of our visit). To top it off, the waiter offered us complimentary teas and coffees, and surprised us with Turkish delight served in a separate dish for us vegans. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience at Rose and would highly recommend it to any vegans visiting Kalkan. The staff made us feel right at home and the food was exceptional.
