"We have been going to Lorenzos for over ten years now. It first started in Recklinghausen where we lived at the time with practically both our boys growing up there, in the womb and later after birth : . Before we had the boys we were there nearly every weekend as it was impossible to find another restaurant where the food was as good, the atmosphere great and the music played by the boss at the evening could not have been missed. We then moved to Haltern so could not manage to go as often (and someone had to drive which left at least one of us unable to drink the delicious San Lorenzo red wine. Luckily Lorenzo opened a new restaurant in Dülmen which is a little closer and you will find the boss there. We are just waiting now for a Lorenzo to open in Haltern : . To the food, the food is delicious, the pizzas like real Italian Pizza with greats like Spinaci, Parma and Gambaretti. The pasta is delicious and al dente like it should be. I could go on and on, the starters of Aubergine, Rinder Capaccio, the puddings of Tiramisu. The wine is great, the grappa is great and you can get a really good coffee and dont forget to buy some of the biscuits at the end to take home. The flair, a lot of people have complained in various ways about the boss. He is what he is and how he is makes the difference. He is great with children, has style and his way of working and strutting about his restaurant is what makes the difference, so if you want a boring restaurant where the staff do as you expect then go somwhere else, if you want something different with great food then go to Lorenzo."
