"Sip Savor is the bar inside of the Crowne Plaza. I have been here a lot of times over the years and it seems they are trying to do a new menu and rebrand with a new name. The staff is friendly and works hard but they need some help. Bartender Server has to spend time running Room Service orders to the rooms. The drinks are meh, The cocktail menu lists ingredients they do not have. I ordered a second Margarita and had it made with a mix and then dumped into the first glass I had already used. The pasta I had was bland and mushy with not much flavor. The steak dinner had a laughing few pieces of vegetables. Wow, great food and very reasonable!!! Beautiful hotel and appreciate a gorgeous interior design. Especially the tribute to Chicago architecture. Staff was great and good was delicious. My new favorite spot in town!!!

My husband and I stayed at the hotel and decided to stop in the bar for a drinks, so we thought. As we walked in, both bartenders acknowledged us, hey guys, welcome, Happy New Year. That was all. They were having a very deep conversation with another patron about bellinis. in the entire establishment it was the bellini guy at the bar, myself, my husband and a family of 4 sitting at a table in the corner. We were there maybe 5 minutes, and then decided to leave. As we were entering the elevator, one of the bartenders, the female asked, Did yall need something? "We've always loved to come here and it's for our 18th. Anniversary booked this weekend. No sitter, so the kids brought. It was a busy Sunday evening, but not fully booked. We didn't order apps, but our food took about 45 minutes. The waitress apologized and was very nice. I've never sent food back. When it came, my son's steak medallions were hard like a hockey puck. We couldn't even cut them with a steak knife and showed the waitress who brought the manager and agreed. I also ordered medallions and (2) were very overcooked, but starved them so, although they offer to recover. They took my sons back to the Re-Cok and took another 30 minutes, so we were made with our meal when he got his and then was filled on bread and the side of broccoli. There was no Happy Anniversary (which was specified in the booking), while others had Jubilee Dessert coming. It was only disappointing in total, even though they composed our 2 meals. Always loved it in the past with family and friends. Maybe a night, but not sure I'd go back soon."

"They forgot the soup which they gave me future credit as I didn't want to drive all the way back. It happens I'm not bothered by that. There was a dead gnat fly on our white container on the outside but thankfully not in the food. It happens, so my review is not even considering that as it's always about the food. Tempera tasted quite different in texture than normal tempera I'm used to, it almost tasted like corn meal and dense, not crisp and light like a typical tempera. Know that when you pay certain amounts for your meal they do give you a free roll or free something depending on how much you spend. So I got a free roll included. Spent a total around 80 bucks including some tip. Compared to Whole Foods its similar in price but they give you a little less and it's sadly not as flavorful as Whole Foods sushi. The rolls lacked seasoning and were bland. They put jalapeño wedges inside one roll, which gave the roll an odd texture. The rolls was just so bland every single one and all tasted the same. I'm wondering if the rice wasn't seasoned with vinegar correctly it's just missing major flavor."

"Like anything great, not in the open nor easy to find. You’ll up for a nice surprise. Located in on the side of a beautiful elevation, which is rare in the Midwest, giving you a great sense of being in the middle of the woods (if sitting outside). The inside is just beautiful and gives off very nice and calm vibes. Dressed in (what I would call) traditional/rustic decor. The ambiance just makes your experience and food that much better. Just gorgeous. The restaurant is right next to an ample parking lot, and awaits you with plenty of sitting. The service is very friendly and inviting, adding to the charm of this gem of a place. The food, drinks, and THE deserts are all phenomenal. Every dish is well prepared and served deliciously. A delight! When weather permits, live music located in the back in this beautiful patio. A must visit! Enjoy! You can thank me later."
