"father-in-law is a good and passionate cook, had even a pub 25 years ago. These times are long past, and father-in-law this day 72. Since it is now too stressful when he is supposed to cook his 10 guests, he has always ordered the party service for the last few years. Despite finished plates, a lot of our children were left in the end, and the party service is not very inexpensive. So we persuaded our grandfather to go to a local pub for dinner. Since in the Rödertal the pubs died a whole lot of Gastros, we decided to return to the oldest, still remaining restaurant in Großröhrsdorf. This has existed since the deepest GDR times. Familie Mensch ran a meat shop in the house and just said restaurant. Father Mensch managed the meat shop, mother man sold the sausages. In the evening, only the door was changed, and it went on to the inn. At the time, the meat products of the inn were obtained from the in-house meat shop. Today, since May 1992 daughter Steffi with husband owns the inn, brother Thomas runs the meat shop next door. And even today the meat products for the inn are bought at the brother next door. This is how the old family tradition continues. "Finally, another important building in Großröhrsdorf, the “city of ribbons” as it is also called, was refurbished. The new gastronomy “Zum Bandweber” has its name from the important history of the small, East Saxony city. Already mid 19. As a small steppke that grew up in this beautiful little town, I was of course often in this house. There was no gastronomy in the 1970/80 years. This building part was empty. After the turn, some enthusiasts tried to continue with the cinema with a small bar, but the pressure of the large cinema halls in Dresden was too big, so that they were also responsible in 2010. Since then, the building was empty, and more often changed the owner (or more speculators . Nothing happened at the building, it was apparently priced its decay. Up to 600 visitors can now find room in the new Röder Hall. To now entice the Großröhrsdorfer to the new restaurant, many vouchers were in the mailbox. There were 2 main dishes at the price of one.
