Staff is always super friendly and happy to answer questions. They also carry some basic Asian market staples like curry pastes, a number of noodles and sauces and plenty of furikake. Nice mom and pop market with Japanese and Hawaiian food. Got some yummy takeout here. My favorites were the pork lau lau and the musubi selection.

The best musubis i've had, many flavors to choose. My go to's are salmon belly and bacon spam egg. It is a bit expensive but it's well worth the price. Whenever I pass san mateo I try to stop by.

Super delicious! Their spam musubi variations are delicious! Ordered their furikake wings and salmon. Definition of Japanese/Hawaiian comfort foods. The market is a bit small but they have everything you need. Jump over for lunch before the close. It’ll be worth your while!
