"Arriving inside my friends and we were not greeted by any staff we had stood there for 10 mins or longer. We are from out of town and was really hoping to have some good ramen. We hadn't been greeted so we figured we had to order on the tablets to be seated. Also multiple groups of people who were not (black) had been greeted quickly and sat. Then we'd find out that, that was a to go order tablet with out any indication of it. We were told quite rudely by one of the workers. We had thought you ordered first then sit and she had told us it's 10 dollars to sit inside when in reality that wasn't true. She had told my friend once I had waited outside that she meant you had to spend a 10 minimum...

My first time trying ramen here and it was a great experience. The Miso Ramen broth has a nice taste and smell. Also ordered the Karaage Chicken as an appetizer. The chicken was cooked just right.Food: 5/5

great ramen spot on 40th st. near penn's campus. I got the beef udon, and though the noodles were not as flavorful as I would've liked, the broth made up for it. the service here is always great, wonderful staff at this place. the ramen shop vibe cannot be understated, I absolutely love the ambiance here on top of the yummy food. the prices are on the higher end (especially for appetizers), but for the best ramen place in town, you really can't go wrong.

"We were there celebrating two birthdays. Our server Faith was wonderful. She was attentive without being intrusive and knowledgeable about the menu. We were a table of 6 and ordered quite a bit of food, some of which was great and others lackluster. The bao buns were great and the small calamari salad was huge and those who had it said delicious. The spareribs were good as well as the edamame dumplings, although the way those were served made it hard to fully enjoy. Each dumpling should be on a individual type spoon so you can enjoy the soup part as well as the dumpling. The way they were served in one large bowl with only one spoon made it so the soup part is left at the bottom. I did request extra spoons from the expediter but they never came. The worst part of our appetizer course was somehow an item was switched to another in the computer and served to us. It had shellfish in it and that wasn’t known when someone at our table who doesn’t eat shellfish ate it. The sashimi was good but the tuna tartare thing was really bad. The entrees we had were the duck, which I was told was delicious, the miso cod, which was fishy, the whole fish which was tasteless, the lobster fried rice, which was okay but lacking flavor. The best dish was the black pepper beef, it was delicious and elegantly served. We had all the sides and all were quite good especially the eggplant and the wasabi mashed potatoes. It was a nice evening but it felt a little stale for a Starr restaurant."
