"The food was good. This restaurant has been in the neighborhood for many years, but I never went until my lady suggested it. The atmosphere was also nice. Not realizing it was BYOB, the couple next to us insisted we have some of their beers. Unfortunately, we didn't click with our server. She was not responsive when we asked for food recommendations. Ordered the pad Thai, massuman curry and the fried rice. As far as Thai food in Chicago goes (it’s really bad), this is one of the better places I’ve been. With that said the fried rice and pad thai dishes were a little too sweet. The fried rice tasted like it was cooked with a little maple syrup.

I have to say Thai Lagoon was a hidden gem! The staff was very friendly. Let’s get into my review. The ambiance was amazing. I really liked the look of the restaurant. The service was fairly good. Only hiccup was that one of the waitresses forgot to put in my appetizer. The food by far was amazing. It reminded me of the food I had when I was in Thailand many years ago! I highly recommend TL for anyone who wants to have tasty Thai food!
