"My husband is from Vietnam and very picky about American-Vietnamese restaurants. He LOVES The Banh Mi Shop’s food and after several visits there since they’ve opened I can honestly say that they are consistently good and the customer service is always on point. I am always looking for good Beef Goi Cuon (spring rolls) and can rarely find them at Vietnamese restaurants- when I do they are super fatty and chewy and unpleasant. The ones at the Banh Mi Shop are excellent and the sauce is perfect! G … – show"

It's fast-casual, like Chipotle, but Asian. The portions are kind of small, so you have to order two things to feel full. Two of us spent $48 for 4 entrees and one drink. It's small but clean. Neither of us really liked the place, I def felt like I overpaid. I won't be back because they offer nothing special and parking sucks.

I drove over 1/14/23 and had the BBQ Pork (Char siu pork belly) bahn mi with extra cilantro, carrots, and aioli. It was excellent! The meat was tender and the bread was very fresh. I took a quick bite in the car, but had to slow down since I wanted to leave a little for my wife to taste (as she has never had a bahn mi). This was my second visit here and it was worth the drive (although I do wish it was further west in West County). Parking is not the greatest around the Delmar Loop so be p … – show

"If you are looking for a friendly, comfortable, delicious, clean place to eat, sit, work, and/or relax, American Falafel checks all of the boxes. The hospitality is unmatched and is consistent with every visit. The quality and authenticity of the food is equally consistent? complex in flavor, extremely reasonably priced, and the portion sizes are generous and filling. There are a variety of dishes and options to choose from, ranging from dips/spreads (great to share OR get them to go and bring to a party , shawarma wraps, and full plate ?skillet? type meals, which makes it an accessible dining experience based on how hungry you are, your food mood, or how much time that you have, though the food comes out quickly (without compromising quality or presentation every time. Though one can get dishes such as falafels and hummus many places around town, the intentionality and flavors behind Chef Feras?s authentic Jordanian street food approach really sets American Falafel apart. The falafels themselves are the most flavorful that I?ve tried *anywhere*, and each falafel ?bite? is about the size of a lemon (you can get 5 for $6 which could suffice as a meal by itself! New to food from this part of the world? Ask for a recommendation they?re so happy to help. Even if you just stop in to relax or say hello, owner Mohammed is always quick with warm greetings and a cup of seriously unmatchable hot Jordanian Bedouin tea with fresh mint. PS there?s wifi, outdoor seating, and they?re pup friendly. ???? ???? don?t wait! ???? ????????"
