"If I could leave 0 stars I would. TERRIBLE terrible service. I had a reservation, and when being seated we were not approached by a server who ended up being the manager until 20 minutes after being seated. We were patient as we could tell it was busy. A bus girl brought our entrees, the lobster roll was hard as a rock we could not even eat the bread, I was also given flat soda. We waited for the check for about 30 minutes and nobody came to clear our plates or bring us the check because we had no server. I finally asked one of the severs for the manager and she never came. I went myself to find her to tell her I want to pay the bill and leave as it was now 10pm and my reservation was at 7p...

We had a spectacularly delicious dinner in a very charming location. This was our first visit to Water Street Kitchen and we are definitely going back.

Everything was delicious and presented well. Spicy watermelon margarita was also good. Service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back

"they can just say naan is vegan to sell products. if vegan, I suggest, explicitly say they are lactose intolerant and they can not have any at all. I asked if it was vegan naan, in contrast to other reviews of the older waiter told me they all had milk. in his words, it's just a bit milk as if it weren't important. to show how they can lie, the hand-rolled edamame dumplings are the usual factory made frozen dumplings in most Asian restaurants. not the hand as they claim. I had jackfruit masala, it tasted great. later, I felt a very unpleasant feeling. I never have problems with real vegan Indian food. that makes me wonder when it was ghee in it. the dumplings are deep fried like the flower cabbage, I am not sure if they share a frit with fish and meat."

"We sat in the very rear to the left of the fireplace. Our seats were very hard and cold. We are guests in our eighties and really need more comfortable seats. Is the any way when making a reservation to avoid this spot ?? We have been to the Shanty many times and never were otherwise disappointed."
