"While visiting Plant City chose the Whistle Stop Cafe for lunch and was not disappointed. Cafe had convenient parking on the street as well as a small lot adjacent. There was not a wait on a Saturday and sat in a comfortable booth and experienced very friendly, efficient service. We tried sandwiches on their own fresh baked bread and the potato soup special. Our half sandwiches were the size of an entire one from other restaurants. The food menu is extensive and in my estimation would equate to old fashioned home cooking, fresh and tasty. Great experience from start to finish!! Service was outstanding and with a smile, owner and the family on site working hard to serve fresh home made food. Will definitely be a repeat customer!! Pics are strawberry shortcake and home made potato with bacon in a fresh home made bread bowl

Listen People! This place is a true hidden gem in downtown Plant City. I was simply walking by and the history and decor caught my eye and I decided I had to eat lunch here. I’m so glad I did. They specialize in soups and sandwiches (All Homemade)The bread and soup are made fresh daily. This is a family owned and operated business. And I must say that the family is just great in their service. So friendly and engaging. Martha and her son were extremely awesome and I will definitely be back. Highly recommend!!

I love this place absolutely. The atmosphere is so calming and retro. You go to a gentleman who ticks the ivory and plays piano. Trains and old license plates and car parts align the wall as decor. The owners are so on earth people always welcome and friendly. It is a family business and you also feel like a part of your family. Marti, always has a warm smile and she greets you as if she knows you all your life. Her sister, Carmen, is the cook, and I haven't found a dish that I didn't like. Your bread is freshly baked in the house every day. My favorite menu options are their All Aboard Sandwich and the loaded potato soup.
