"Came across this place without intending too. I ordered the Ddeok Bokki. I didn't realize that it was spicy but it was still enjoyable! Beware though because it is hot hot if you can't handle spicy food. It was really good and it was topped with cheese and an egg. The cheese melted perfectly with the Tteokbokki and sauce. I've been wanting to try this for a while and it did not disappoint! Definitely will be back to try their wings as I know that's their specialty! I do recommended it to give it a try!"

"When my wife and I lived in Norwalk we used to frequent the La Habra Claro's location all the time, so when we moved to DTLA I was bummed there wasn't a Claro's nearby. Behold! My prayers were answered when they opened this San Gabriel location a mere 15minutes from DTLA. "We made a last-minute decision to eat out on Mothers ' Day because our steaks had not defrosted, and it was a bit too cool to use the grill. 38 Degrees has a new barbecue menu, and we all decided to try it. I ordered the brisket with spicy cole slaw and Tempura green beans. My friend and my son opted for two entrees; both had the brisket, one also had chicken and the other had ribs. Everything tasted quite good, but we all agreed that the brisket was excessively fatty. That was a disappointment. If I try the barbecue meal again, I 'll opt for the ribs, pulled pork, or chicken (not two or three because, even with one protein, it was a large dinner. Our server was very attentive and apologized when our meals took longer than usual to reach the table. I prefer the rest of the menu to the barbecue dishes (I 'm a grilled salmon fan, and theirs is very good), but won 't hesitate to try the barbecue meals again."

"Solid, cheap Asian food. Tons of rice dishes, noodle plates, and soups. This is one of their first locations I believe. They have multiple locations throughout the county. $10-15/per plate. Parking lot in the rear, and some street side parking up front. Some licensed Big Boy statues inside which seem to fit somehow. Go to dishes are the pad Thai, beef steak, and garlic chicken (well done). Be aware that each location has slightly different menus, and in some cases, like the garlic chicken, is cooked a bit differently. Is this gourmet Asian food? No, but it isn’t meant to be. It’s quick, cheap, and tasty. Friendly staff!"
