"Never been to Hawaii but I find it hard to believe this food is Hawaiian. A lot of fried food on the menu. Entrees come on a bed of cabbage. Most items we ordered were so salty we couldn?t eat them. My salmon was paper thin crispy!!!! Potato salad (elbow macaroni mayo) comes with the entrees. Definitely disappointed!!!! The person who took our order was very nice and confirmed the order prior to cooking as he took it from memory!! He has a good memory!!!"

"I heard Maxfields was a great restaurant to check when in Potsdam; the reports I heard are correct. We went on a Saturday night without a reservation, and they could take us. Unfortunately we couldn't get a table in their beautiful dining room, but that was on us. I would recommend calling forward for a table, next time we'll be sure. So we sat in the bar area, which was good. They offer a nice selection of drinks and their beer list is plentiful. Our server was polite and friendly and competent. Our ducks were delicious and served us quickly. We were very happy with our meals. Nothing bad to say about Maxfields, it's a charming little place. We would return without hesitation, absolutely recommend. Bon appetit!"

"We went in today for lunch, myself, husband and two children. We stood at the front door by the sign that says, Please wait to be seated we stood for approximately two minutes when other dining guests who were sitting said we could just seat ourselves as some restaurants just operate like that. We went to a booth and waited. We saw another group of about 8 just being served drinks so we were being patient. At this point we 've now been sitting in the booth for approximately 8 minutes and still no one has acknowledged us and we made sure to look over. The waitress even brought food out to two tables on either side of us and still no acknowledgement. Even if they made the attempt to drop off a menu so we could start looking that would have been good but they didn 't. Again, we were more than willing to be patient but after 14 minutes total of being in the restaurant with not even a glance over or a we see you but we 'll be right over would have gave us hope. We then stood up to leave as we can only keep our young children clam for so long without getting antsy. I work in a restaurant, a simple motion or gesture goes a long way.."

"I gave four out of pure sympathy. I understand that you are short-circuited, but the quality of the food here is terrible. At the managers/owners I'm pretty sure that I know what you're doing to save money as I've previously worked in the food service and I have seen in some places what length a manager will go to save money. I'm here to tell STOP that chicken tastes like you cooked it, freeze it and then microwave. And why does Cole Slaw smell like that????? The Mac and the cheese were well overcooked, I'm curious how many times it was reheated? The employees were very polite and I didn't go back to complain because I was afraid I was polite about it. No, you need to know it's not okay. I hope you take the time to read this and consider the actual Qaulity life."
