"After a recent midday trip to Benicia, we were hungry. I have been to several other restaurants on 1st Street and enjoyed them all. I will finish those reviews soon. It was my suggestion to have lunch here. We could leave the car parked and it was a short walk. Happily, it was a good choice. I ordered the Shrimp and Asparagus salad, and it was delicious. The salad consisted of mixed greens, avocado slices, cherry tomatoes, a semi-hardboiled egg, and asparagus topped off with two skewers of grilled shrimp. The Louie dressing was served on the slide. K had the pulled pork sandwich. The interior was pleasant, the bathrooms were clean, and the service was attentive.The Taproom is on my list for a return visit."
