"General: The annual Berlin inspection. Culinary in turn divided into Nostalgie and South (see nun dwarf). Here is the nostalgic return. I have been distributed for decades and have always passed the animal garden source, which is located in the S-Bahn arch next to the S-Bahn station Tiergarten. But the current choice was the result of a search for the good old Berlin beyond the vegan hipstertum. And I wasn't disappointed. Very mixed the audience. In the beer garden, which is on the other side of the street, also young spectators, rather inconspicuous student (TU is nearby, which had to switch to the damp rooms at my table. Then there was an eight-headed mansion with international colleagues, which should probably also be presented with a piece of old Berlin. In addition, then three craftsmen fresh from the construction site to a peasant breakfast and beer. Such a good mixture that shows that authenticity can survive. A fashion also includes the animal garden source, but fits it: Craft Beer is presented to the Berlin brewery Lemke and also sold from the house. Who wants, but also gets a simple school. As I was able to find out later, the animal garden source has also been part of the small kingdom of the Brauhaus Lemke since 2003. But I let the setup go smoothly than the 20s, unless "Shabby" is not original. But then I would draw my hat in front of the stage designers who created the pub interior! The food was solid, but for itself no reason to visit the animal garden source. For me it is the ambience that together with a solid home kitchen and the beer forms a complete work of art. The dishes are moderately expensive and non-construction workers or will certainly be able to satisfy their hunger for €8.50. A bit deeper in the pocket you need to grab for the Craft Beer. But I want to give good four stars for the price-performance ratio. A homepage (Tiergartenquelle. de shows the maps and the inner values of the animal garden source. Service: When I starved at the animal garden source at 5:30 p.m., there was little further. Some tables in the beer garden were occupied and in the left arch with the smoker logo sat some toes. I pointed out a round table of two of which I had a good look at the events. The phone booth nodded. It was a younger man in leisure black and with braid, but without hipsteratti and gaze, who then took care of me. The rest of the forces that ended the personal vision over time were also inconspicuous. A younger woman and an auxiliary skeleton with a Turkish phenotype had to draw the plates increasingly via the well-running road into the beer garden. A traffic light in front of the animal garden source makes the intersection safe, but also long. But it has to work for many years. In the kitchen that was visible in the extended escape of the counter from me, four of them were thrown into the black cooking jacket. My waiter (after Bon Markus Lessig concerted pleasantly and flees his job. The drinks came to the table quickly. Also the soup has not waited long, unfortunately also the Bulettes, so I had to fill my stomach on the top without a considerable break. The good mood of the Herrenriege was a good answer to my waiter in a somewhat more elaborate order multilog. He could not fulfill my desire for a Fernet Branca for digestion, and instead struck a half and half that was served ice-cold and at least suggested to participate in digestive work. It would have been generous to take him to the house, but nothing remains in the animal garden source! fresh beers of the Lemke brewery; the IPA was unfortunately not available. So I tried the Pale Ale (0.5 l for 4.90 € and the wheat (0.5 l 5.50 €). Both beers liked, but were not as "crafttypical" as I was used by the beers of the Brau Union Bremen (there is PA with grapefruit and citrus notes, wheat banana. It shows in function, but the whole series of spices and potions. For service a “in order” or three stars on my rating scale. Food: The map offers classics such as glacial bones, bulettes and curry sausages and concessions to delicate female pupils who are not ranked in the food chain created by evolution. I chose the goulash soup (5,50 €) and the bezel with roast potatoes and sauce (8,50 €). Otherwise, for a warm summer evening hot enough and equipped with a lush insert, I would rather talk about a small cube Goulash with sauce. A few damaged vegetables appeared while stirring. The soup was tasted classic, without a fiery spicy flight (and I didn't have my dirt bags! From the size of the portion a small plate with the two fresh slices of white bread. The Bulette Court is not. Two classic thick pipes with precooked onion and green herbal addition, but they gave my receptors nothing I could write up. So tastefully simple. The frying potatoes from the big convenience bag (I could observe and cut the distance, but they were fresh and fried. Some thicker pieces would have taken five pans minutes. Very unusual the mixture of smallest bacon and onion cubes, which were also only sweated. With all rust: the tomato rod was decorated without stem on the plate. With a little more spiciness in the balls (e.g. mustard and common roasting time of potatoes, bacon and onions, the simple dish would still be able to win. For my food, it should be 3.25 stars. Ambience: Let's start outside. The beer garden opposite lies on a triangular plot in a street fork. It is fenced and green on the open sides. Rear house facades with the typical Berliner Traufhöhe. drinks are issued in a bud; Food is served. You can sit on typical beer garden chairs. Some large trees and parasols donate shade. So not to see and see a beer garden, but the shady refreshment in the gravel. The actual restaurant is located in two arches of the Viaduct tram with passage. So the real restaurant with theke, kitchen, toilets and TV room in the right part and on the left is an open but protected smoking area under the round arch with a social space behind it, which also has a counter. In the main room a semi-high, dark disguise, a discarded floor and also decades of use that produces traces of the bare wooden tables and chairs. The wall decoration is a beautiful collection of framed photos, posters, signs and flags. A band of beer lids on which the guests are embossed on the board. As I said, visually original slate. But you don't stay at the bare table when you put the lower arms. An investment would be good: the dirt mat in the entrance should be replaced. Whether it can be absorbed in one piece can be doubtful, but with protective clothing and moistening against dust development it should be expedable. Such new parts are not made for eternity. Cleanliness: The toilets for the Lord I appreciate the sixties of the previous century. But everything works and is clean. So to the dirt mat..."

"Every Wednesday I eat Indian food in London. So when coming here in Berlin I was delighted to find this place. It turns out that Maharadscha is the second oldest Indian restaurant in Berlin which is already a milestone worthy of anyone's time. As always I start with the naam bread which was very pleasing to soften the blow of the incredible spices. This is truly an amazing authentic Indian restaurant that is without a doubt the best I've been too (on a par with malabar in London). This was a great end to my tour through Berlin. As always in Indian restaurants I got the Chicken Korma and was not disappointed. This beautifully presented dish always goes down well with the Cobra beer or a light wine. My friend was also very pleases with the very spicy Chicken Madras which although he couldn't handle was amazingly done, much respect to the chef. Luckily as we came late and I wanted a second chicken korma they offered a takeaway service which was much to my delight. We had a great chat with the owner and other staff and they really made the night as special as it was. The lively atmosphere was a big bonus accompanied by a really thoughtful playlist of appropriate songs. Finally the pricing was remarkably low for the high quality of the dishes we were given. If i had to summarise my feelings in one way I would say that if I wanted to run my own restaurant I would hope for it to be as good as this one."
