"Good Friday in the Palatinate, what should it be for dinner on this holiday – clear Rumpsteak. Schwiegervater invited the whole family to dinner, the goal was the lamb of the teacher with mainly regional, pfefferian cuisine in Bornheim, but vegetarians can also find themselves here. Not the Frankfurter Bornheim, but the Palatine with the headquarters of the “yippie ya yippie yippie yippie yippie yippie yeah” construction market chain. Bornheim is a municipality of Offenbach, no, in turn not Hesse, but at the lake in the district of Southern Wine Road with about 1500 inhabitants. The teacher Lämpel is located in the centre of Bornheim directly on the main road, to one of the typical houses as you can find them in the places of the wine road. In addition to the restaurant, which is divided into two areas with about 60 seats, the teacher Lämpel offers an outdoor area for about 40 people at the teacher Lämpel Brunnen in good weather. Extensive parking is possible nearby. The guest room is accessible via three steps and through a small entrance. On the right the smaller guest room for about 20 people, on the left the main guest room with the counter and space for about 40 guests. Bright flowing, bright walls, tables made of lighter and dark wood chairs with reddish artificial leather seat create a pleasant atmosphere, the darker window cloths fit the overall impression. Our table for seven people was covered tonight with red table runners, candles, flowers, paper napkins and cutlery. The decoration of the guest room with pictures, plants and Easter jewelry friendly and not overloaded. Motifs by Max Moritz must not be missing from the teacher Lämpel. The overall picture of the atmosphere was only admired by the rather louder group of higher age groups on the side table. If you need to ask several times in a smile with the opposite because you can't agree and then a cell phone video is played in full volume on the side table, some guests might think about their behavior. Luckily, this spook had an end at some point. For Ambience 3 without letting the "Schreihälse" flow in now. We were greeted by the service and brought to our table. The service was friendly and competent, it was kindly asked for drinks, answered questions about dishes, served food at the same time and also the beverage delivery glittered smoothly. 3.5, but not less. With a group of eight people I'm just going to the courts of my wife and me, the rest of the people at the table, including our two guys, were satisfied with their courts, but they also looked good so that the dishes before they returned to demand. As an appetizer, my wife chose a Kartofel soup with Beluga lentils €?,??, for me it should be the liver hemp soup € 4,00. Like the only ones who had chosen an appetizer, as all the main dishes were served simultaneously, the rest of the group had to wait a little. From the consistency my wife was satisfied with her potato soup, taste for potatoes, biss-resistant potato slices and lentils and small soup pieces in a soup that was sufficiently sweetened without recalling a stew. Unfortunately, the soup accompanied a much too high salt content and already the overall impression shrinks to 2.5 . My liver dumping soup came in a form that was still served me, so I don't mean the form of soup sauce. So far I knew the liver dumplings only in their round overall shape, here the dumplings were already divided into several pieces. Teacher lamb skin liver emptying soup Unusual, but the taste of emptying did not. Solve fluffy with a beautiful aroma, if not made yourself, then a good buy at the local butcher of trust. But there was also a ****, the cattle broth, like the potato soup, too much salt. No, not the taste of overfilling by prepulating, just too much salt. This could not save the inherently good liver dump, even here only 2.5. As main courses we chose car-free day-typically twice Rumpsteak, for my wife the 170g variant 11,50 € with roast potatoes € 3,00, for me the middle 220g version € 13,50 with Pommes € 3,00 . Actually, my better half had opted for the piquant, South American sauce, the capers mentioned in the demand in the sauce, let them turn to the herbal butter. Teacher Lambskin ragsteak with herbal butter And what do you do? Sure, the role backwards and choose not the herbal butter, but from curiosity the South American sauce. Rumpsteak teachers with South American sauce Both Rumpsteaks were roasted as a desired medium and delicately balanced against soups, the roasted potatoes were nicely browned with a little onions, the bims crispy, that was good. I don't need the parsiliendeko on both plates. The herbal butter instead of the South American sauce was certainly the better choice. No, not that this variant was bad or not tasted, she let me know a little. Tomato sauce, olives, caps and pieces of corn. I can't be wrong, but where is this place except the corn pieces of South America? Mediterranean would write it better, but still not, although the sauce in the taste was not boring now, but under a cake I imagine something else. All in all but 3 for the two main dishes. On average, the 2.6 points, that is 2.5, would be too heavy and unfair. Oversalt is not desalinated, otherwise we could have let the Supen go back, so also 3. At the point of cleanliness there was nothing to criticize in the guest room, everything well maintained and clean, 4 . If I have now added two spices 0.25l € 3,00 and a Paulaner Pils 0.5l € 3,50 even after the map on the homepage, I come to € 48,50, you cannot really bend. Without the oversalted soups it would have become the PLV 4, but unfortunately only 3 , a band fell clearly with us both. The conclusion of our visit can only be read: 3 – if it comes back – maybe with beautiful spring weather outside the name encoder. 1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – when it comes back, 4 – again happy, 5 – necessary back to the kitchen trip."

"About six years ago I wrote in my first review to Landhaus Wieler: If we're back in the area, we'll be happy to go back. 29 June 2022, wonderful summery hiking weather! We are once again in the area, because – my wife and I – with a former working mate are on a trip on the shaded hiking trails in the Villewäldern between Mertener Heide and Berggeistweiher. And we like to return to Wielers. I have already described the ambience in my previous post. Landhaus Wieler (I Landhaus Wieler (II parking facilities without time limit are available from 19.00 h in the numerous parking bays of the narrow main road, and a stone's throw from the restaurant is a larger parking lot. We have reserved for this magnificent summer weather on the terrace, which extends over the full width of the building. . On the way to the terrace we cross a smaller guest room and the adjoining banquet hall, whose size for up to 400 people and its equipment impresses us. On the terrace, the agile service owner, who has greeted and haunted us during the evening, leaves us the choice between three tables. We settle on a round six table and feel comfortable on the covered terrace. Four stars! The Lord of Service, friendly and communicative, serves us the evening, not always highly professional, so much more than satisfactory. Sometimes he seems to be overwhelmed, but what might have been on the crowd of guests grown during the evening. On the other hand, he promptly cleanses a complaint from my wife: With a drink ordered as a non-alcoholic wheat beer, my wife finds a taste that deviates from the already drunk wheat beer. I who drink wheat beer with fabric, try and establish taste identity. No long discussion: The man from the service immediately exchanges it. Guest service, four stars! The hike has made us thirsty. We would like to refuel liquid for the first time into the terrace furniture. Our waiter notes • a soft wheat beer (0.5 l for € 5 for my love, • a price-like yeast wheat for me and • a cola (0.2 l for € 3 for our hiking friend) and leaves us the menus. We have plenty of time to order drinks and finally choose: • Rumpsteak Lyonnaise with roasted onions, fries and salads (22,80 € for my wife, • Lambskin fillet on herbal jus with vegetables and Bernese Rösti (26,50 € for me and • Rahmschnitzel with Cognacsauce, croquettes and salad (14 € for me). By the way: six years ago, the lamb fillet cost €24.50, i.e., in view of the long time and the current inflationary development, a reasonable price design. The main course is a • Quarter Grauburgunder (7,50 €). We wait for a greeting from the kitchen in vain. After a reasonable waiting period, our service owner will table. Rumpsteak Lyonnaise with roasted onions, fries salad to the Rumpsteak and the Rahmschnitzel My wife is very satisfied with her dish, while the meat is more than medium cooked, but tender and without tendons or tough spots. The meat is covered with a thick layer of crispy roasted onions, obviously homemade, well seasoned and very tasty. My wife also likes the fries. You're crispy. The salad, consisting of various leaf salads, herb salad and two slices of tomatoes, is made with a yogurt dressing that would like to have a little more acidity. Lammrückenfilet on herbal jus with Berner Rösti sauce for lamb back fillet vegetables for lamb back fillet The lamb back fillet is a little too long roasted, only stained pink, but has a good roast aroma. The meat is delicate and juicy and tastes very good to me, for which also the tasteful sauce contributes. The Bernese Rösti is much larger than usual and is apparently homemade. Vegetables include cream pine, cauliflower with semmelbrösel hat, broccoli, carrots and asparagus pieces. It is covered with almond splinters and is optimal from cooking. It's still bite. More spicing would have done him well. Rahmschnitzel with cognac sauce and croquets Our hiker friend is very happy with her cream carving and the croquets, even if the croquettes look factory-made. Also the salad you mouth. We are so saturated that even my wife no longer demands a sweet conclusion. Our hiking friend and I can still enjoy a • Averna (2 cl for € 3. The obvious boss of the house helps our service owners to clean up. We express your praise to the kitchen and score with four stars for the kitchen performance. There's nothing to complain about in cleanliness. The toilets are freshly renovated and perfectly clean. The terrace is very well maintained. Full five stars! Despite the drastically increased prices in gastronomy, we still pay moderate prices for good service and good food and drinks. As six years ago, we give four stars for the price/performance ratio. Our recommendation for the Landhaus Wieler remains. And again we say, if we're back in the area, we'll be happy to go back. Four stars as a conclusion! By the way: As six years ago we paid with credit card. And again, as at the time, as the title on the billing document stands intermediate billing . It has changed little in the last six years!"

"A former colleague called: she invites me and my wife, and she invites a good colleague. She's looking forward to a goodbye to four. So we go on sunny 14. August to the place where Heinrich Böll has temporarily lived and where he is buried – to Merten, a district of Bornheim. After an extensive coffee slip, spiced with memories of the blessed working years, we switch to Chaka 's in the evening, a steak house in Beethovenstraße in Merten. My wife and I have been here years ago – and have a good memory of the house. The ambience We park in one of the few free parking bays in front of the Chaka 's. Parking is otherwise available on both sides of Beethovenstraße. From the outside at first glance, the Chaka 's window series recalls a shop window line of a small town business. The large lettering restaurant Chaka 's Steakhouse on the canopy above the window front explains the current use of the shop. We go through the modernly furnished guest room into a well-covered cultivation, called Chaka 's garden. Chaka 's garden There a gentleman of service has assigned us the reserved table. In this cultivation with the light green walls, the dark brown tables with the surrounding brown chairs, which are covered with dark grey, fabric-like stain material, are almost all occupied. The place is well visited. Stämmige brown beams carry the plastic roof, under which vinegars grate after sunlight. Two pyramid heaters suggest that this space is also used in cooler seasons. We sit here very comfortably, but the ambience as a whole does not get away from the stool. It's okay, so three stars. The service We are served by changing service staff, a gentleman takes care of us more and more, so our regular service manager. We are asked at dinner if everything is right, and if it tasted. Our later critique of tough and dry meat of the meat skewer tries to apologise to the service that the pieces of meat are different. Jo mei: Do they grow so on the cow, or do they cut a man? Otherwise, the service makes its job routiniert and friendly. Three and a half stars seem appropriate for service. Food and Beverage Our regular service provider has handed us the menus, loose sheets clamped on a board. We leave in the offer: burgers in different variations, a page full of tapas offers, steaks from Angus Rind, Schnitzel as in any kind-bourgeois inn, pasta as with the Italian and Mediterranean salates. There are no outliers in price, the level is on the one hand, as is usual in rural places. My wife decides for a • Argentinian pump steak (approx. 200 g with steakhouse fries, herbal butter, steak sauce and a small salad from the buffet (18.90 €). In the map, the steak is offered with a foil potato with herbal cucumber. Exchange against fries does not make a problem. Explainingly, the Rumpsteak is cut from the Roastbeef, outside with a crispy fat rim. I choose the • Galgen spear, Argentine premium meat, grilled with onions, served on the gallows with BBQ Dip, Steakhouse Fries, herbal butter, steak sauce and a small salad from the buffet (19.90 €). I choose a • Kölsch (0.3 l to 2,10 € just like my former colleague. Our colleague who makes the driver chooses a • soft wheat beer (0.5 l to 3.50 €). We don't wait long for the drinks. They're cool. Little later, the service brings us greeting from the kitchen. Greeting from the kitchen The rye baguette discs are warm and crispy. A garlic herbal cream is added, it flows out garlic odor, tastefully the garlic does not dominate, there is a little salt. Greeting from the kitchen is okay. We'll get the supplement salads from the buffet. Leaf salad, cucumber pieces, tomato quarters, beans, corn, carrot, reissalat and jalapeños are offered. However, most salads up to cucumbers, leaf salad and tomato give the impression of coming from the cannula. Two dips are offered for refinement, a yogurt herbal dressing and a Balsamico oil dressing. The yogurt dressing, for which my wife decides, describes her as very fade. My Balsamico dressing, on the other hand, tastes very good and picks up the salad tastefully. After the salad we don't wait long, and the servicemen are already bringing the main dishes, for my wife the Rumpsteak. Argentine Rumpsteak (approx. 200 g with Steakhouse Fries, herbal butter, steak sauce and a small salad buffet My wife cuts the Rumpsteak – and is at first enthusiastic. The cut is juicy and delicate, the meat is tender pink. But the further she cuts towards the edge of the fat, the tougher and more longing the meat becomes. The steak sauce – about one tablespoon full – consists of a mixture of onions and tomatoes tasted with some vinegar. Seasoning helps to improve taste. The herbal butter can also use a proper pinch of salt and pepper. The fries are pleasantly served separately in a bowl, look homemade and are cherry and non-fat. My gallow spear makes something visual. (It's a good idea that high-edge formats are cut here! At the bottom of the gallery there is a full picture. The plate stands on the foot of a metal galaxy, from whose tip a well-filled spear melts down. The spear can be removed so that I can easily strip the meat. However, I experience light and shadow when eating. About half of the pieces of meat is properly roasted, more or less juicy and delicate, but at least in the spectrum of professional roasting. However, the other half of the meat is dry and tough, partly so tough and dry even that my former colleague, in his gallows, does not get the meat torn in a gentle manner. Premium meat – as advertised in the map??? Steakhouse Fries My fries taste good and are crispy roasted. The BBQ Dip is spicy, tastes slightly smokey, but seems to originate from the bottle. Everything is said to steak sauce and herbal butter. While my wife, the former working mate and my diligence after eating the dishes are more likely to hull the nose than enthusiastic about eating, the former colleague is very happy with her hip steak. She tells about delicate and juicy meat. I comforted with an averna (4 cl to 4. €). What we've had on the skewer is not a premium meat. The fat edge at the Rumpsteak is okay, but the tendons... With good will we give two and a half stars for food and drinks. Cleanliness Here we have seen no lack. The women's toilets – my enthusiasts say – are clean and well maintained, the men's toilets have not visited the man's paintings. Our table in Chaka's garden is clean, dishes, glasses and cutlery are also. Four stars for cleanliness. The price performance ratio For the approximately 90 euros we have paid, one can ask more about meat quality and preparation. The meat is in focus in a steak house. The well prepared hip steak raises our rating on two and a half stars. The conclusion We had a good memory of our first visit to Chaka 's. But this impression is now damaged. I guess we're not going to be here anymore. There are alternatives in Merten. We are not talking about a recommendation in the light of the two and a half stars we give for the conclusion."

"Ach Schwimmbad Besuch noch gerade etwas Essen und Trinken!!??Soll neu eröffnet worden sein, besser als früher.Das Erste stimmt, beim Zweiten sind wir anderer Meinung!Wohl wissend, das es "nur" eine Pizzeria ist!In den Biergarten gesetzt, Tisch zugewiesen, Tisch steht schief, Boden schmutzig,es wächst Gras.Ober überreicht eine Karte für 2 Personen, naja! Sofort Aufforderung für Getränke bestellung. (Ich möchte zunächst Mal reinschauen)Ober erneut, kann Kölschsorte, die ausgeschenkt wird, nicht benennen.In der Karte keinen Hinweis!Essen nach Nr. Bestellt, er fragt nach den genauen Namen der Gerichte?????Bis auf wenige Ausnahmen, Gerichte, insbesondere die Getränke, viel zu teuer!Unverhältnismäßig zu dieser Region!Kölsch viel zu Kalt, Schaum schon kurz nach dem Servieren verschwunden.Essen, Gr. Salat, Nudeln, nett angerichtet und auch auch schmackhaft!!!Wenn dann bloß, wegen Allergie, kein Mais dabei gewesen wäre.Davon stand nichts in der Beschreibung!Der Ober einfach überfordert, oder es war sein erster Tag als Neuling.Rechnung bestand aus einem vollgekritzeltem DIN A4 Blatt, mit Spalten abgeteilt, also auch für andere Gäste. Merkwürdig, ich kam Überschlagen auf 28-29 €.Er sagte, genau 30€! Kann wegeñ krummen Summen gar nicht sein.Ein Beleg gab es nicht, er hätte es ja auf dem Blatt ausgerechnet.Das würde uns nun zu blöde, bloß nicht weiter diskutieren, dann ist unser Abend versaut. Er soll den € als Trinkgeld ansehen.Nachtrag: Herrentoilette:Trotz Renovierung, ohje ohje! Zwar wohl irgendwie sauber, aber da waren wohl Heimwerker beschäftigt. Deckenbeleuchtung, Fliesen, Schreiner und Maler.Das könnte ganz anders aussehen!Fazit: Vor Jahren waren wir gerne und oft dort.In den letzten Jahren deutlicher Einbruch, folglich kein Besuch mehr.Jetzt: unfassbar viel Luft nach oben!!! Zunächst werden wir es meiden.Jemand unsere Familie ist dort in Wochen geschäftlich eingeladen.Bin jetzt schon gespannt."
