"Overall no complaints. Went for a couples brunch and mutually agreed to rate five based on our combined food and service experience. Just moved to Braintree from Quincy and decided to try a new breakfast spot. We picked up the menu and noticed Prices are decent and there is a good selection without being too overwhelming. Parking is on the street and can be a bit sparse, however we found a spot just two store fronts down. Parking is two hours so more than enough for brunch. Aesthetically it’s no fuss no muss.We went around 12:30pm on a Wednesday (they close at 2pm this day). We walked in and were seated immediately. It did not get too crowded while we were there. Staff was friendly and attentive without being pushy. You can sit at a table or at the countertop on somewhat lower stools . They have a coffee machine, juice machine and hot chocolate machine behind the counter. Behind the counter is also there menu and specials in fun chalk colors. Printed menus are handed out when you walk in. There is a single bathroom in the back towards the kitchen. We ordered: a corn ‘Johnny’ and a coffee cake pancake, a ham/sausage/bacon/cheese omelette, wheat toast, eggs Benedict and home fries.I loved the eggs Benedict, plenty of sauce without smothering the plate, English muffin was thick and cooked just the right amount of stiffness to not get super soggy from the sauce and egg while eating. The Canadian bacon (ham) was thick cut and salty. Super happy with it. Excited to try the other Benedict’s they have.Home fries were cooked well, crunchy without being burned, and the wheat toast was nice and thick cut. The omelet was also great (I would have ordered it without cheese because it felt a little overwhelming, but the meats were thickly chunked and plentiful). Would order againThe corn pancake was pretty yummy, it tasted like a blissful mesh of pancake and corn bread, topped with some whipped butter and you were good to go. Would order again.Note on pancakes- you can order 1-3, and they are the size of a large plate. For most people 1 is enough if you have some other things with your meal.Unfortunately I wasn’t In Love with the coffee cake pancake. I expected it to be sweeter but it was just sort of meh. That being said, there was nothing wrong with the way it was cooked. When I added the cinnamon sugar (that comes on top) with some syrup it was a decent enough pancake. Just a bit of a letdown compared to the other foods we got. Would not get it again but brought it home as a leftover. We ordered ice coffee, which is literally black coffee with ice in a tall glass, cream comes in the small single serving containers and sugar is in a dispenser on the table. Don’t order this expecting frills. Would order againVegetarian options: They also had gluten free options up on the board.Kid-friendliness: Just a regular diner, families were here when we were."
