"This place is SO. COOL. My partner and I have stopped here a few times, as we typically go to Pleasant Mountain to ski, and this is a great stop for some food. First off, Standard's venue is an old gas station which has been gutted out and transformed into a small, casual, and modern establishment. There is a small bar, window seating, and small tables for patrons to sit at. Along one large wall, there are coolers filled with local beer, cider, wine, and seltzers for patrons to purchase, whether they are eating in or taking out. The food changes weekly, though, they do keep some things frequently on their menu. I have tried the fried chicken sandwich, the poutine (if you are eating it yourself-get the small portion because it's still huge), a miso mac n cheese, corn dip (which I'm not a huge fan of corn, but this was fantastic), and steak sandwich. Everything is house-made and fresh. Again, because the menu changes weekly and because of the quality of food, I get excited to see what is on the menu to try something new. Lastly, the service is always top-notch and friendly. Each time we have been here, the service is attentive and we always end up chatting with the servers. I highly recommend Standard Gastropub for a casual but fun experience if you are in the Bridgton area!"
