"I am surprised that not many people take advantage of the small outdoor seating area, which is one of my favorite features of this restaurant. I appreciate that they make their own spreads and also offer them for sale. The breakfast specialties and sandwiches are consistently above average. The macaroni salad is unique and delicious. The only downside I have experienced in my years of coming here is the early closing times, which can be inconvenient for those who enjoy a late afternoon meal. The service is extremely friendly, although it can be a bit slow at times. Overall, I would give this restaurant 3.9 stars, if I could rate it with decimals."

"Wow, what a phenomenal meal. We started with a Gorgonzola salad that was so big, we could share. We had the hot antipasto that comes with mussels shrimp mushrooms artichoke and filled pepper. It was the best I had. We rest for a while and had our entries, the calf cuts parmigiana The best I had. My wife had the penne vodka. What a great vodka sauce. We were so full, but we had to order a desert and spilt it. We had the cream bag. Please try them out. Can wait to go back when I'm back in the area"

"We have made reservations for today (Mother Day) and we sat immediately, although the place was filled with families. The service was amazing, the apps and meals were hot and fresh, my daughter asked about the Macaroni and cheese and for the first time I didn’t pay $6 for what almost always half a box of power Mac n’ cheese. It was delicious pasta with one of the best homemade cheese sauces I ever had. All went with full belly buttons and left!"

"Earlier this evening, I went to a restaurant with a friend to celebrate her birthday. It was my first time dining there. We both decided to order the New York Strip steaks, which were cooked perfectly and a generous portion. Although they were a bit pricy at $36 each, they were absolutely delicious. The only downside for me was that the steak fries were placed on top of the steak. I would have preferred them to be served in a separate bowl, allowing the steak to be more visually appealing with a nice garnish. It was a bit frustrating to have to move the fries off the steak, causing some to fall onto the table. The steak was so filling that I ended up leaving half of the fries – I was completely stuffed by the end of the meal."

"Would have given 5 stars but there's no sopes on the menu, but the food was cooked well and had amazing flavor. I ordered 3 steak tacos and 3 carnita tacos with a side of rice and beans. The portions were healthy and we were served very promptly. The waitress's are very friendly and attentive to the customer. I eat Mexican food up and down the East coast and La Fortaleza is now in my top 5 picks, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who lives Mexican food as much as I do."

"Five of us went for an early dinner prior to The Rolling Stones concert at Met Life Stadium. We ordered their family style chicken parm and rigatoni with broccoli rab and sausage; there was a house salad and two sides of penne with marinara sauce. "This was my 2nd time at Biggies. Parking is ample but super tight. The I side is super spacious!!! The bar area is absolutely gorgeous!!!! There are lots of tv's with games on. Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted and sat. The waitress was attentive and even gave recommendations! I had the grilled chicken bruschetta sandwich, and my friend had the Biggies sausage. Both were delicious, and the fries were great!!!! All in all, it was a great visit!! Would definitely return"

"In the area for a concert at MetLife. We had the Brooklyn Square Pizza and a Meatball Parm Sandwich. The pizza crust, toppings, cheese, and sauce were all one of a kind. I love pizza, I’ve visited many many pizza shops from Maine to Florida, these folks are making original pies you won’t find at your local pizza shop. The sandwich bread was like a fresh loaf hard roll filled with very good meatballs, certainly glad I ordered it even though the pizza was more than enough for our family of 3. Definitely happy with the quality and portions. The food was great! Would certainly order from them again. Delivery driver was super friendly!"

"I went in to order 4 wake up wraps. 3 sausage and 1 bacon. The person taking the order asked me multiple times what my order was to which I re-explained. This happened at least 5 times. No problem because she repeated my order back to me by the end of it and it was correct. Until I get home with everything and half the order wasn’t there."

"A wonderful evening for two, celebrating a birthday. The service was professional and competent. Water and wine glasses were replenished frequently. A beautiful antipasto plate and crusty bread presented before our appetizers, was a delight. The food was exceptional in presentation, quality and taste. The savory flavor of the grilled octopus was delicious, as was the Caesar salad. My scallops and shrimp entree was prepared in a fresh, fra diavolo marinara that had a bright and spicy tomato flavor. "So I went here yesterday, after a long search for a Caribbean restaurant near my job. I got the j chicken, with coconut rice and plantains. A little disappointed there was no salad with it but maybe I'm just being greedy, (I'm use to this as a Jamaican Anywho the j chicken was very good, I was so skeptical, but it did not disappoint. The coconut rice well seasoned and was cooked well. The only thing I was sad about was, there was NO gravy!!!! I didn't get the option so I'm going to assume that's not a thing there? I hope not, if y'all see this please add gravy! Oh an most importantly if you are going there for lunch like myself, CALL AND ORDER AHEAD OF TIME!!! They make the food fresh! It took 30 mins for my food to finish."
