"Great Grill Find. The area of Grapevine/Colleyville was not good to good BBQ restaurants, we have lost our Sonny Bryan 's a few years ago, and although others have tried to open along 121 in Colleyville, they have quickly failed. Charley Hall's petrol station on 121 and Glade has decent Que, but it closes at 5:00. The big chain in the area is Spring Creek, which has great roles and is consistent... but something bland. Instead, we found Red Barn BBQ on Hwy 26 on Glade Road and have repeatedly very good and consistent Que there. We met the owner, Van Husbands, on some occasions and he seems to know what he does and is very friendly. There are usually a few friendly young servers behind the counter that are happy help. The Que was moist and smokey, with an excellent ruble. The sweet sauce is perfect for my pleasure (I double on the portion) and the sides are also delicious... the broccoli salad and the lightly spicy green beans are distinguished as my favorites. He also has a good Spicy sauce if you prefer it. There were some disappointments. Last time they were from Sliced Brisket, but strangely they had enough to make 4 Chopped Beef Sandwiches. I'm really sorry for the ones behind us... We've thrown out the iced tea before, you don't know what it is, but it's terrible... we decided instead for soft drinks. Could be the water! I understand from another assessment that it's BYOB... a cold beer would go well with the Que. Although the location for many can be out of the way... Hwy 26 through Colleyville is not a high road, it works for us. If you are on the way and hungry, check this place. Husbands has another larger Red Barn in North Richland Hills, there is an outdoor area and bands on one night. We tried, but we better look at the Colleyville location for the food and more. There's a sign in the front that says everything you can eat on Mondays. Not sure why we haven't done this yet, but I promise... we will."
