"Update 2020 after 9 years of my review The hotel and restaurant offers a good kitchen and excellent service. With the hiking group I got a hot soup there on winter afternoon, with bread and without marmots. Other locals currently only offer cakes. The ambience is welcoming, the service is always friendly and helpful. My wife's cousin celebrated her silver wedding there and was also very happy. Here in the Wildeshauser Geest you can recommend a place. In September 2016 the restaurant was unfortunately burned by a technical lack of the ground walls, in October 2018 the newly built house was reopened. In 1547, Count Anton Günther I. von Oldenburg and Delmenhorst had recovered the county Delmenhorst and Harpstedt from Diözese Münster. The Count then built a water mill in today's Altonaer Mühlenbach. This was “everything nearby” to the Münsterische Stadt Wildeshausen, the later name Altona. In 1888 the Altona estate for 63000 gold brands was bought by Heinrich Ahrmann from Ueffeln near Bramsche. Among him and his wife Elise, the property developed into an important gastronomy and hotel business. Today the company is run by Heiner and his wife Inka Ahrmann together with the children Neele, Vincent and Malte. In the evening we had reserved a table today. We parked on the opposite parking lot and entered the house through the main entrance. A friendly gentleman brought us to the square. After our waiter, who asked for an aperitif before ordering, we chose the soft rose magic. From the kitchen as a small greeting six slices baguette with Red Beete Dip. Then we chose the "Gut Altona" Burger 200 gr. freshly grilled beef as a vegetarian burger with vegetable patty with Manchego cheese, homemade BBQ sauce, tomatoes ragout avocado and frits for 15,90 € as well as a Viennese carving from the calf with cranberries, roast potatoes and a mixed salad for 23,90 €. The clean toilets are accessible in the basement, by stairs and elevator."

"The Kläner Hof in Dötlingen is a café, a popular place for asparagus fans. New for me the rural breakfast, we were invited and have breakfast together with friends. Breakfast is brought to the table by fresh, young and pretty girls, after choice tea or coffee, also latte etc. The orange juice glasses are already filled, which is not so great. Then the rest comes to the table. A bread basket with rolls and bread, a plate with mettwurst, ham, liver sausage, two varieties of cheese, fresh cheese preparations, tomatoes and peach columns. In addition, fresh fruit, melon and pineapple, muesli and quark, honey and nutella packed in portion packs. I forgot it. Also a plate with scrambled eggs and Bacon. The tea on the cake, the coffee for two people in a thermospot. This tasted all very well, the boss brought freshly baked croissants to the tables in the meantime, was more such a running gag. What was missing, fish as salmon or roll mops, probably just me! Because of the weather we sat in the yard, at the entrance you see the pie plates, no cakes in the lining. A few products from the farm shop, cucumbers and sausages as well as other treats. You should always book there, because the supply to guests is already great. What does it cost? I don't know, we were invited, so I don't have any evidence for the evaluation. The homepage also does not shine with prices. „Frühstück incl. all alcohol-free hot drinks every Sunday and holiday from 9:30 am. Everything is served at the table.” If you see the leftovers on the tables, it's already hurting what's going on in the food ton."
