"My favorite restaurant in Dubuque, hands down. This is a neighborhood bar with an amazing kitchen and fabulous drinks. Typical American fare, with burgers, salads, steak, chops, etc. My last visit, we started with the Barbecue Chicken flatbread $12), which can easily be an entree! Absolutely fantastic! For a main course, I went with the classic beer battered Fish Chips $19) with home made coleslaw and garlic mashed potatoes. The portion sizes were perfect, and everything was cooked to perfection. The entree came with a wonderful little house salad that was delicious! For desert, chocolate cheesecake! We also had some amazing drinks from the bar. Not a cheap meal, but worth every penny. The interior itself is amazing! You really feel at home in this place. It's an interesting blend of French bistro and American corner bar, and it works very well. Be advised that the Copper Kettle is very popular, especially on the weekends, and I highly recommend making reservations in advance, as it's a small dining room that fills up quickly. Since it REALLY is a neighborhood corner bar, be advised that there is NO parking lot...you'll have to park on the street, so plan accordingly. I've not had any problems with this, but you might have to walk a block or two to get to the restaurant depending on the time you arrive. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!"
