"The food was hot and fresh, and I enjoyed my takeout lunch. It was very affordable, costing between $1 and $10 per person. I would rate the food a solid 5 out of 5 and the service the same. The atmosphere gets a 4. I highly recommend trying the Happy Meal, the McFlurry with Oreo cookies, the world-famous fries, and the Big Mac."

"The food at this restaurant is extremely overpriced and not very good. The cost is higher than what is listed on the menu, so we only eat there when we have no other options and it's late. It's much better to go to Eastern Dragon in St. Albans instead. The service is decent, the food is rated a 3 out of 5, and the atmosphere is also a 3 out of 5. Price per person ranges from $10 to $20 for dinner."

"First time eaters that will definitely be back! Lets start with our order! I ordered the two meat meal choosing the brisket and pulled pork paired with fries and cream style corn and my wife ordered a chicken sandwich. We added on the slaw and mac and cheese because America and I wanted to try as much as possible. This is hands down the best barbecue I 've had. I imagine the owners were thinking before opening If its worth doing we 're going to do it right! And they nailed it. The brisket is so tender and juicy it melts in your mouth, the pork has the perfect balance of smoke and seasoning, the mac and cheese is creamy yet perfectly ooey-gooey! Creamed corn is simple yet phenomenal. I have absolutely no complaints and am 100% impressed with 242 Texas BBQ!!! God bless y 'all! (And yes I have had BBQ IN Texas and this still wins my vote!"
