"Reservations are a must! If you are planning to visit Fribourg and want to eat in a very classy, old fashioned atmosphere with a superb service and gastronomic food at affordable prices, this is the place to go. You can have a lunch menu for...CHF29.00 and if you do not want a dessert, it is only CHF 23.00 (Mind you that Big Mac Menu in Switzerland is CHF 15. ! But this has nothing to do with price the overall package of this Fribourg's gastronomical temple is where you get the most value. The staff is super friendly and amusing even funny (Sommelier Lorrent Montagne is a total blast , they all speak perfect english and are super friendly to explain to your every single detail about the ingredients which will wake your taste buds up! White, thick table cloth, reminded me of the Great Gatsby Belle Epoque and heavy ustensiles of those pre 2nd WW restaurants. You will be missing a lot of Fribourg if you don't pop in for a great three course meal."

"The All you can eat formula is great and includes a few drinks, but is a bit expensive in the evening. For lunch it 's great value. The sushi in the all you can eat buffet are not the best, but still OK. The buffet item never change, so it can get boring after a few times. I found that some of the staff was not very friendly. You have to pay for tap water, even if you order a bottle of whine."

"I went there it was so great... Olala is a new kebab that offers onsite and delivery services. I have eaten an excellent pizza. It is quite rare to find a pizza with fresh mushroom and other non-refrigerated or canned ingredients in Fribourg. The owner trully cares about the quality of the ingredient and cooking time. Pizza rocks it was delicious. I recommend you a pizza and otherwise there is also kebab."

"My friend received his dish well after the others (when almost everyone had finished) as for my dish which was a sort of black angus carpacio at 29 francs per plate with three points of black truffle as the main course on the menu. When the plate arrived it was a starter size. At the time of Bella Vita it was much better!"

"Sehr stimmig im Bistrotstil eingerichtetes Restaurant. Der Service war zu Beginn leider nicht ganz auf der Höhe. Es dauerte sehr lang bis wir bestellen konnten. Zur Vorspeise assen wir "Foie gras poelé", exzellent! Zur Hauptspeise gab es ein wunderbares, gut abgehangenes Entrecôte. Selten so gutes und auch zartes Schweizer Rindfleisch gegessen. Dazu wurden Pommes Frites und grilliertes Gemüse serviert. Das Gemüse war leider nicht ganz auf dem Level der anderen Speisen und die Service-Angestellte fragte erst nach, ob wir mehr Pommes Frites wollten, als wir gerade den letzten Bissen Fleisch assen. Darum nur vier anstatt fünf Punkte."

"I was here for a brunch on Sunday, but I've been a bit disappointed by some small and big details in the organization and the service. When I asked the waitress she forgot to tell me that part of the food had to be taken from the fridge by myself, and there was neither fruit nor charcuterie or yogurt/milk on the table (I wandered how to eat the cereals and didn't take it in the end)!! The variety of food was actually small for 22chf/person. And when it was time to pay I waited 10 min for the woman at the cashier to undertand how to use the card reader... food was good and the place is really nice, but this was far from any expectation."

"I marked Not sure on the question regarding that type of national cuisine they represent; there seem to be many different influences with a strong point being Indian. Far from being an expert in Indian cuisine I always appreciate their excellent choice of curries, my favorite being their vindaloo which (unlike probably anywhere else in the world) is not at all spicy. Purists may argue that this makes it something other than a vindaloo but I suggest you give it a try!"

"Molino offers a decent selection of vegan pasta, pizza and starters. We really liked the spaghetti napoli and penne all'arrabiata, which in our case were perfectly al dente. The pizza marinara is very spartan, though, and even a veganized pizza vegetariana (just omit mozzarella) is not that great. Verdure al forno are more of a starter. Overall, price/performace is in the green, especially in the pasta department."

"We walked in on a Friday afternoon without a reservation and were quickly seated. This restaurant is very close to the Saint Nicholas cathedral in Fribourg. The food was excellent. My wife had the deer medaillon (chevreuil) and I had the vegetarian mushroom fregola sarda, both delicious. Above all was the most excellent service Laura took really great care of us. If you happen to be in Fribourg, you must give this restaurant a chance to amaze you."

"I went with a group to this restaurant. In any case, it took 15 minutes for us to be asked if we wanted something to drink even though there weren't many people there. The service afterwards also took time even though we had all had “quick meals without cooking in the oven”. The gyros was good but nothing more. The Coke and Orangina drinks were out of gas. Fortunately they have been replaced. I wasn't convinced. I wouldn't come back."

"My wife, my daughter and I were on holiday in Switzerland, and were brought here by our friend Scilla, who is a regular. Despite the fact that our daughter was having a grade 1 meltdown when we came in, we had a really good experience here. The staff were really nice, and seemed to appreciate my appalling attempts at communicating in French (you know, as opposed to shoutng "laaaaager!" very loudly 6 times in English).I had the pepper sauce burger, Becca had a sandwich and Scilla a salad. The food was top quality and came quite quickly, the portion size was also very generous. The place has a nice feel, and is clearly very popular with the students at the nearby Fribourg Uni.All in all I would say it was really good, and I would highly recommend Le Mondial to anyone.To be honest its very hard to rate cost, as the way the Swiss Franc exchanges with the £ makes everything seem expensive, but from a Swiss point of view, I'd say excellent value!!"
