"OH MY! I picked this place solely based on the fact that they had escargot. I got dressed up because it seemed seemingly upscale due to the pricing. Don't be fooled! It is more casual than I thought, but still so very nice inside despite what you see on the outside. I made it for happy hour and got 2 cocktails: the cucumber martini was refreshing and delicious! The old fashioned was full the the brim and so worth every penny! I was able to get a cup of chowder on the happy hour as well. My lord! Best soup I've had in ages. Great pieces of clams, fish and BIG gulf shrimp! Not to mention how crazy and flavorful. Definitely burned my mouth because I couldn't wait. The escargot was just as good if not better than the ones I've had at authentic French restaurants. Such good, buttery, garlicy morsels! Then the soft shell crab was superb as well but I was so full I could barely manage it. Of course I had to see if their sugar-free cheesecake was anything like the one my grandma whipped up and threw in the fridge. NO. It was LEGIT, thick, creamy and decadent as you would expect a full sugar cheesecake to be. Can't wait to get back to the hotel and eat it while I soak in the bath tub! "Lakisha helped me with the Wifi and Mihaela was so nice and with my special demand to have the fish plate, but grilled. it was delicious, perfectly cooked, with plenty of delicious vegetables. I ate everything despite the huge plate. I recommend this place and the waitress."

"The food was like that. Calamari was a bit chewing and little taste. Margarita Pizza was good, but nothing great about it. The atmosphere is good and the staff was great. Bread and olive oil Dip was probably the best product we had."

"with friends to dinner. we sat on the biggest standing at the corner. that was our first time we tried gumbo. we ordered seafood gumbo, shrimp plate with fries and sauce, and oyster plate with fries. the garnel plate was really good. but the problem came with the oyster in the gummibo and the plate. it was really bitter. we told our server about the problem, she offered another record. but we were done. we ordered the beignets for the desserts. that was very delicious. at the end our server gave us a free bananenbrotpudding and that was really delicious. I realized I'm not a rubber fan. but define a dessert fan. I loved both desserts."

"The first time here. Partner had the Lasagne. It was some of the best I ever tasted. I had the Italian Rib Eye.smothered in a marina sauce it was perfectly cooked and was very good! Both dishes came with a small salad and bread. Do not forget to order the olive oil with herbs and cheese for diving the bread. My steak also came with one side of some of the best spaghetti I ever had! He had the Canoli for Dessert and it was super good! I had the Tiramisu and it was the sky. I will definitely go back and I will have the ribbed eye again! Recommend this very clean and simple restaurant. I highly recommend reservations if you plan for dinner. And you can also get BYOB (BRING YOUR OWN BOTTLE) They do not serve and alcohol not even wine... so bring your own!"

"the host was friendly as soon as we got in and had a smile on her face. our waiter offered great service and gave us additional time to decide as it was my first time. I ordered a **** mary and wow is exactly what I said when they brought it to me. they use a wein-based vodka and there was a full taste to him. it was delicious. I ordered the lumpen krabbenei benedikt with a side hathbrown. the food was delicious, but I wish there was more pumpkin crab served with it. my date ordered the standard breakfast. eggs with cheese, speck, biscuit and hash brown. she loved her eating. I've seen that we're going back in any case."

"I've seen my short lunch. the staff was very nice and the service was fast. eating was good and reasonable prices. fortunately they had peskatarian and vegan options. the thun-pack was fresh and tasty. the chocolate chip cookie from the gypsy bakery was also quite delicious. the ambiente was pleasant with plenty of seating and an island vibe. parking was just a few steps away on the road. they want to return and try their smoothies and Acai bullets. unfortunately had to go fast to see that my daughter was in the congress center."

"I wanted to find a delicious sushi place here in Galveston, I had good experiences with some, but today my socks were banged. Yamato is officially my Galveston Sushi recommendation. I had a role of sushi that could not have been better, as well as steak and scallops. The steak was cooked to perfection, and very juicy, the scallops were so decadent, I can't think of a time I had so good scallops. My server was polite, and officiant it also made the recommendation for my sushi and wine I appreciated. The price was just right for the value. No complaints, you have to go."

"My husband and I always love shykatz. It also has a special place in our hearts of when we started dating. Homemade and fresh. Meals that fill and full taste. Even though we moved from the island, we still make it a tradition to stop at least once during his time at home from work to offshore. Like today. One of my ways to take my husband back to his boat so he could return to work, we decided to have a nice breakfast together. Everything was good until the most rude customers ruined breakfast. In the middle of the restaurant a lady and man where the breakfast. They were accompanied by 2 female friends. who never sat down. Instead, start having the loudest conversation. So loud that I couldn't hear my husband sitting next to me. So loud that it bothered every other table. It was not a short conversation that it went on and was louder when the woman wanted to talk about each other. So loud that our breakfast was ruined and we left. As much as we love the place that it surprises me that people can be so rude and don't consider anyone around them. I'm not going to accuse the restaurant, but I'm gonna say if that's the norm that eat outside, a better option."

"I ordered the chicken pita all the way. I was very happy with the chicken seasoning and sauce! The chicken was cooked very tender and i gladly gobbled it up! The fries even had grated parmesian cheese all over them and that was delightful. The pita bread was soft and warm, and the service was lovely. I will be making this my go to pita place as it meets my taste buds standards for Mediterranean flavors."

"The place is awesome with many varieties of candies, popcorn , ice cream and even cool chocolate bars. One of the fudge flavors was king cake and it was spot on! I wish I could give 5 starts but the customer service was not to the best. The taffy was like eating a brick, maybe it was an off day for the taffy but it was really disappointing after driving 45 minutes to come. A candy shop down the way had softer taffy than this store."

"Excellent fried seafood, gumbo and everything else! Order at the counter, choose a table, take place and they will call you when your food is ready. We've been eating here for decades and never had a bad meal. Your shrimps are the freshest ones you find and the Oysters among the sweetest ones I've ever eaten. Her gumbo is thick and piping hot with large pieces of shrimp. You can't go wrong if you order here!"

"It was my friend's first time here on Thursday afternoon (around 5pm) and we were left disappointed! Last time I had been here was summer. My friend was in town for the day and she was in the mood for some ice cream; long story short we ended up at Hey Mikey's. I knew which ice cream to get, my friend (being her first time there) had questions. Every question she asked the girl behind the counter (the cashier), the girl would answer with attitude. My friend had a question about one specific ice cream that was labeled and the girl behind the counter just simply responded with we don't have that with a hint of annoyance in her tone. Okay, we simply ignored it thinking she was having a rough day. We got our ice cream and sat on one of the tables along the wall, as soon as we sat down, we heard the cashier girl let out a very loud groan. At about 5 minutes or so of trying to enjoy our ice cream, my friend realized the cashier had handled cash money to the customers that were at the front of us while we waited in line, and not use gloves or washed her hands to serve us the ice cream. Needless to say the waffle cone she had served us the ice cream! Disappointed in her customer service and disgusted that we had to throw away our ice cream and we left. I was sad and disappointed!"

"I was referred to this place from a FB friend. Wow I’m glad I tried it! It’s the REAL DEAL! It’s a small place and they have a meat cooler off to the side just the way stores back in the day had them in SW, La. And best of all they don’t put BAYLEAVES in their gumbo! stop doing that And their gumbo tastes like ya Ma-Maw made it! Their meats are fresh and taste soooooo good! Boudin is off the chain! Andouille and Tasso! And the bonus is, the people there are always so nice! Thanks Leo!"

"We got three tacos: grilled fish which was flaky and delicious, fried shrimp that I will definitely get again, and crab ball which was also delicious. I could use a little less cabbage but that's just me. Came with a side of corn and bean salad...yum! Hush puppies aren't seasoned much but do have a little spice. That shrimp salad though, some of the best I've had! Was hesitant to purchase since it's a little pricey but I've no regrets. It's so good. Only took pic of shrimp salad. Not a great pic Just go try for yourself."

"I absolutely loved lunch at the Coastal Grill on the other day. Located a few blocks from the beach, this is a good option if you are looking to get away from the crowds. The atmosphere is coastline with plenty of seating. That would be great for a bigger group. I loved the variety on the menu many options from pizza to tacos to daily specialties such as a Monte Cristina sandwich and sausage rubber. The food was freshly prepared and tasteful. It is counter service so prepared when you expect a table service. A great option for a variety of kitchens."
