"I have to admit, this was not our first choice for dinner but I'm so glad the other restaurant was full! Otherwise we never would have discovered this little gem during our brief visit to Gettysburg. After a full day of travel, we arrived at the GO well into the dinner rush. Given the restaurant looked relatively small from the outside, I expected to have to wait for a table. To my surprise, they have quite a bit of space within their historic building, and we were seated right away. I wasn't overly hungry, so for my meal I decided to order a cup of Irish onion soup. French onion is always a favorite of mine, and this was familiar with a unique and flavorful spin. We also got Irish soda bread and a basket of loaded chips (fries) to share. All delish! And the portions were more than enough. The chips were perfectly fried with amazing, potato-y flavor. I pared my meal with a pear cider from the GO's great beer list. We even had leftover Irish soda bread, which makes a better road trip snack than you might expect. Live music was just starting as we were heading out and I wished we could have stayed. What a great late-night hangout!"
