"Best Barbeque in Virginia and North Carolina. Barbeque is an art, and Chef Hartman's establishment exhibits the greatness of his craft. I frequently travel along eastern North Carolina, and try a BBQ joint whenever I see one in a town. The one thing those establishments lack, is hardwood cooking (most use gas. I was amazed to finally find the Barbeque Exchange which produces pulled pork the way it should be done, slow on hardwood coals. When you first walk in, the subtle sweet smell of hickory wood is evident. The pulled pork sandwich is served on a fresh bakery roll. At the tables, six unique sauces, ranging from vinegar Carolina (Eastern , to molasses base sauce are available. The complexity of flavors on the pork were so good I didn't feel the need to put any sauce on the sandwich. The next day, my wife and I went back to pick some for a later date. Service was great, Chef Hartman even took the time to explain to us the process to freeze the pork during the busy lunch hour."

"Service was seriously slow, ordered crab dip appetizer and it was good, and six oysters on the half shell which were improperly shucked and dry. About thirty minutes later our dinner finally came out and not impressed, the house cocktail sauce is gross it’s maple syrup mixed with cocktail sauce why? Food was just not really worth it. I think that it’s more of a appetizer bar than a restaurant I don’t recommend this place."

"The Inwood Restaurant is a great local place to grab a reasonably priced meal. We enjoyed the fried flounder lunch special and the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. The portions were large, and everything was tasty, except for the overcooked hushpuppies. That was my one and only complaint. The special included tea and pie...great!!! "The food is SO BLAND AND DRY. 3. Ordering here thought everyone had a bad day. Thai Red Curry Chicken should be full of sauce, coconut milk, I have dry rice with NO sauce and no taste for food, like dry steamed vegetables with rice. 1. It was yellow not red and saucy, but no heat ever. The pad Thai is all right, is still not a taste, and its should be spicy? no spices! Ordered the Thai Fried Rice Cow Pad with Chicken, again no taste, rice with some meat and vegetables no taste or heat, what ever. What Thai I have had EVER and looks like Thai Red Curry Chicken to everyone else? I promise I didn't take a sauce out!"

"This was one of the dirtiest Taco Bells I've ever been in. There was food and dirt on the floor, tables, chairs, even the windows. The condiment bar had spilled food and trash. They were out of napkins and despite 3 customers telling them, they still never replaced them. The drink station had trash, spilled soda, even lids stuck in the spill tray. The bathroom was dirty despite a worker coming out from just cleaning it. She told me not to use one stall because it was full of toilet paper. Why not fix it? The one that I had to use was dirty and the door didn't even close all the way. The food was normal Taco Bell food, just cold. Staff acknowledged me as soon as I walked in, smiled and polite, but then chatted amongst each other the rest of the time. They were more social than working. Don't think I'll be returning."

"Only inside customers. We stood for a total of 8 minutes while they serviced only the drive thru. We were asked at the 3 minute point if we needed help and he returned to servicing the drive thru. We’d have gone someplace else but it was another 10+ miles to the next place to eat."

"We've been traveling through Gordonsville for years and were so happy to see this place! We have hesitated to go because we wanted more of a breakfast biscuits/coffee choice. The web had a little about these types of choices, but mostly cakes, cupcakes, etc. and lunch sandwiches that looked amazing, but not for 930. So glad we tried! Friendly, clean, great fresh coffee, scones, breakfast biscuits selection... yum yum . I will recommend it to everyone. I'm sure if you're not satisfied, they would definitely do it right. Oh, and when you go in and nobody's at the counter, they're just behind the counter in the kitchen. Just call out. And no, I don't work there. I am a real customer"

"If I could score this lower than the one I would. This was by far the worst experience I have had anywhere. We waited over well over an hour and half with only 2 other orders ahead of us. They ran out of part of the food ordered and got ugly when we asked for the money back on food that was not given that was paid for. The people were so far beyond rude and offered no cold drinks and took 45 minutes to give children the water that they were waiting for. Would not ever go back or recommend to anyone."

"Thought I would treat myself to a steak on New Year's eve to start the New Year off so a friend went with me. I ordered a Ribeye steak meal which consists of a steak and 2 sides which runs at $21.99. I requested a baked potato loaded with butter and mac cheese as my other side. Waiter informed me that my second side had an additional$2 charge which I thought wasn't right since it was a listed choice of sides. But oh well. When waiter came back with our orders he informed me they had ran out of baked potatoes but I'd have one soon. I ate my steak and mac cheese only to have waiter return as I finish to tell me I wouldn't be getting a baked potato. While discussing with the waiter my disgust in how this was handled they informed me the same had happened the night before. The waiter left and returned with a check where they had knocked off only $4.00. Not sure what's going on here but while I was there the owners were busy snoozing customers from the community that have money. They should have been in the kitchen cooking or making things right for every customer."
